POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

10 videos posted between last week and this week. This one is the last one. I wanted to challenge myself to create and post 10 different videos from one cinematic campaign that I had shot, directed and edited for a whole church. I wanted to see how consistent I could be no matter if 10, 5, or 100 people see and reach to my videos. I did it!🔥✊🏾 and I really appreciate the 50 people who really took time to watch and interact with my contents.😂🙏🏽 I had fun with it, and I won’t stop creating. Much to each one of you.
I was tired of keeping these to myself.

With love,

POV: you’re behind the monitor with me. This is the part of the job nobody posts. Cables on the floor, checking focus, adjusting a light by an inch, checking it again. It’s not glamorous, and I love it.

One room, five people, five portraits. None of them are actors. Most people who sit in my chair start by telling me they’re not good on camera. My job isn’t to make you into someone else. It’s to light you, frame you, and get out of the way so the real you shows up. You are already worth filming. You just haven’t seen yourself in the right light yet.

Even before you get in front of my lenses, I make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. Even you ain’t smiled by the time I hit record, man we’re not shooting😂😂

Nobody handed me a studio for this one. I walked into a church sanctuary with a soft key light, two cameras, and a plan. Light doesn’t care where you are. It only cares where you put it. If you’ve been waiting on the perfect space, the perfect budget, or the perfect moment to start, this is your sign that what you already have is enough to make something beautiful. I threw some lights in the background too, and one edge light😅

Pause this anywhere. That was the test I gave myself on this shoot: if you freeze the interview at any second, would the frame hold up as a portrait on its own? Most people think cinematic means expensive gear and a big crew. For me it means caring about every single frame like it’s the only one someone will ever see. Whatever you’re building, build it so it holds up when someone stops and looks closely.

L O V E isn’t about finding someone perfect. It’s finding someone you can grow with, pray with, laugh with, and still choose when life gets hard.

If you have that kind of love… protect it.

Knowing how to separate yourself from the noise…
It’s everywhere, all around you. You can either use it as an opportunity to grow or another way to get stuck.

Anyway, just another of me practicing my cinematography 😊✨

Creating has become a part of who I am. Whether it’s behind a camera, editing, coming up with an idea, or simply finding a different way to tell a story, I genuinely love creating. I don’t think I’ll ever stop, and honestly, I don’t want to. There’s always something new to learn, something new to try, and another level to reach. If you’re thinking about creating, just start. Don’t worry about knowing everything before you begin. Ask questions. Ask me about cameras, lenses, lighting, editing, filmmaking—whatever you’re curious about. And if I don’t know the answer, somebody probably does. That’s how we grow: we ask, we learn, we practice, and we keep creating. 🎥📸
