4th month | 4o mês - Volendam @hollandamericaline

I've been home for a week now
I was just reflecting on the last month of the contract
Feeling grateful for everyone that was part of my life in those 4 months. What beautiful humans I was lucky to cross paths with.
What a great band.
So many beautiful sights. Ports that I learned to love, in which I built my own little traditions.
I was always happy to be able breathe in nature. Canada surprised me in so many ways. What a lovely itinerary this was.

Thank you all for the best ship contract I've ever had.

________

O Canadá me surpreendeu em tantas maneiras nesse itinerário. Que imersão linda.

Obrigada a todos pelo melhor contrato de navio que eu já tive.

PS: Photo 11 is actually "France" (St Pierre et Miquelon), not Canada

I’ve always dreamt of going to Tokyo and finally, this 133 Day World Cruise brought me there! Obviously we need so much more time to see everything, but l squeezed a lot in for this first day. We actually docked a couple hours away by train and I had the night off, so I booked myself a hotel for the night to save me the trouble and stress of the 4 hours of lost time I’d have going back and forth. It was nice to take it easy away from the ship and rest my voice.
After checking in to my hotel, I went to find food on the famous Golden Gai street and found this FABULOUS little place that was so tiny that I felt honored to have a place at the table. The ramen is something I’ll remember for a long time 🥲
The band played an early jam so I went to watch after dinner. It was so cool and had great musicians, but I sat it out and played the observer for once. They went back to the ship early, and headed to the hotel where I sampled interesting Japanese snacks and lounged around in the (robe?) provided. I don’t know the word for it... Somehow I managed a packed yet relaxing day. Stay tuned to see Tokyo, Day 2!

This was a long and beautiful day out in Shimizu, Japan and the surrounding city. I ran into my friend @pantera_mexa and together we risked a second go at the foreign train systems, taking us to some awesome places.
We explored the park and ancient grounds of an old castle, then split up so that I could try a local dish that was so good and sooo much food (definitely couldn’t finish it) Anyone know what it’s called??
Then we met up again and basically climbed a mountain to see temples and shrines and had an AMAZING view of Mount Fuji. We had a quick well earned beer or two before returning to the ship where I enjoyed a relaxing night off, watching the band perform its last show with my friend @cbass_m , then headed early to bed to prepare for my first time visiting Tokyo! That will be the next video...

Just a quick recap of some sea days between Japanese ports! A Cherryblossom Masquerade Ball, bit of crew Karaoke, and pretty sunsets before hitting the next port. P.s. Sorry if I missed tagging anyone! I can’t remember everyone’s IG lol
