I can across this clip on my for you page and would love to see more opinions on this… granted this was a “purge take” meaning Kenny might not fully believe this.

LSU Basketball won its first exhibition with just SEVEN players 😳

Will Wade’s Tigers held off McNeese 63-60 on Thursday in Lake Charles. Divine Ugochukwu hit a game-tying corner three late, and Donovan Dent sealed it at the free throw line.

LSU finally released a roster ahead of the game, and Wade said two more players were waiting on final paperwork to become eligible.

All proceeds from the exhibition went back to McNeese, where Wade coached from 2023 to 2025.

Dan Hurley compares NIL in college basketball to a poker game 👀

Speaking at Big East Media Day, the UConn coach said it’s hard to know what programs actually spend, with coaches inflating what rivals pay and downplaying their own numbers. He said he looks at it “like it’s a poker game.”

Hurley said there’s a certain amount you need just to get in, wondering whether that number is $14 million or $18 million to reach a Final Four. He added there’s a going rate at certain positions for elite rosters.

Every team in last season’s Final Four spent more than $8 million, per Pete Nakos.
