A summer of such sweet highlights!! - and to keep it real, some tear-filled lows… YET it takes it all to live an abundant life. Been learning a lottt about living in full surrender + dependance on God because boy am I weak without Him!

Let this be a reminder that social media is a tool we use to share what we *want* to. There’s so much more to one’s life than what’s shown on the screen. Don’t let scrolling lead you to get wrapped up in comparison to a false sense of reality!

Here’s some things I’ve been learning this summer ➡️

In 2018 my dear friend @modbirdcreative suggested that I paint a mural at @cbcsavannah for the kids check in area. I had never painted a mural, and had just graduated the year prior from @scaddotedu with a degree in textiles. I was stubborn to the idea of using a brush and decided that finger painting would be the route I’d take for that task… I was a stubborn fibers girly. (Last photo is that mural 🥹) That mural ended up kicking off my entire career, and off I ran with mural painting, for years! And years Lord willing to come! Flash forward to this summer, I decided maybe it was time for a refresh. After hundreds of murals, and years of developing as an artist, my style naturally changed. I repainted the finger painted dot mural, and then had the JOY of teaming up with @jennakilgore to create murals for the entirely new cbc kids check in area. All these amazing illustrations represent various Bible verses that we felt fit the space well, and Jenna designed them all herself 🤍 it’s been a gift to paint for a church home that I love so much! And work with so many folks on this! @addiebsheffield also took these photos and helped paint a good amount of this as well! Go team 🤍 also shoutout to my HUSBAND for prepping all these walls 🤍

Today I was overwhelmed with gratitude. It wasn’t the full sanctuary that got me. It was the full classroom.

Our church is busting at the seams on Sundays. Record attendance numbers. God keeps bringing more and more people. It’s crazy & it’s amazing. We’re about to add another gathering to make room for more people to hear the gospel. That’s all a work of God and only God.

Simultaneously, 75 people are coming to a Core Class on the Story of Scripture to grow as disciples of Jesus & students of God’s Word. 8 months ago we said the class would be worth it if we had 15 sign up. The point is discipleship is both deep and wide. Air war & ground war. Every new person showing up is another opportunity for us to disciple our church to follow, become like, & live on mission with Jesus. More bottoms in seats is not at odds with more hearts going deep. If discipleship is the main priority, these things are harmonious.

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬-‭21‬

This past Sunday, we got to church with just a few minutes to spare. It was packed. I was grabbing coffee when I suddenly remembered it was a “family service”, which means, in prep for Kids camp there was no kids ministry.

We’ve done this before, but as a mom, I felt unprepared. As we enter the auditorium, someone passed us a Kids clipboard. I was so relieved she would have something and honestly, I was expecting this would be some repackaged Easter or Christmas coloring page.😂

You can imagine my absolute shock when not only was it themed from the book of the bible we are studying as a church but the exact verses he was preaching on that day, broken down in multiple ways for her level. From a crossword, to fill in the blanks, and sticker mosaics. She completed every page, whispering to me for help on certain words.

I was so unbelievably blessed at a level of intentionality my church put forth.
They didn’t just say… Here’s something to help them stay quiet.

They said - we are all learning from Malachi today - kids included!

They did not missing an opportunity to be good stewards.
To @cbcsavannah @willblitch and the team. Thank you. ♥️

Proof that your job search is so often about WHO YOU KNOW 🤝

2024 alum Noah Fennell grew up attending Community Bible Church. Over the years, through being discipled and serving in various ministries, he developed relationships with church leadership. He graduated from CU, applied for an internship at this same church, and the rest is history! 🥳

Relationships were certainly key to Noah’s career. But ultimately, it’s important to remember that the Lord determined his steps & allowed him to get the job. In any career prep, job search, or interview process, trusting the Lord’s plan for our lives brings so much peace! 💫

A week that will never be forgotten, thank you Jesus!

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”
‭‭-Psalm‬ ‭100‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭
