Please join us in celebrating class of 2020 BFA in Studio Art degree recipient Charles Benoit @benoitcphoto @benoitc36 Charles’s creative practice takes on two focuses revealing the dialogue he has with the subjects of his portraits highlighting their personality and documenting forms found in natural and artificial landscapes. With his photographs he investigates how humans coexist in the natural world by juxtaposing inorganic forms created by humans and organic forms created by nature.
. .
.
Charles was scheduled to present his work in a solo exhibition in the Kresge Art Center Gallery 114 in March. Unfortunately as a result of COVID 19 closures he was not able to install his exhibition titled “Dualities” for the public to view in person. Please visit the link in our bio to see a pdf that offers a full view of the work he planned to present, his artist statement, and a link to his website.

Missing Kresge and all my favorite people in it already. Through all this craziness, I’m hoping everyone takes a second to take a deep breathe. While things are in chaos use it as a time to create, regroup and process. While we may be stuck inside it doesn’t have to be negative, challenge yourself, plan your next big project, read a new book and call someone you haven’t talked to in a while. Keep on keeping on, this too shall pass. ❤️
