Portrait locations to consider at your wedding venue. ✨
.
🥂 Your reception space - yes these make for pretty reception photos like your cake cutting, first dances, the after dark dance party - but consider your reception space for a reveal of all your hard work in the details and to take some portraits just the two of you before guests are in the reception space. (I'm in LOVE with dramatic draping like the one behind their head table courtesy of @softtouchdraping )
.
🥂 Inside the church or ceremony space. Always great for remembering how your altar looked or for a gorgeous stained glass lighting photo inside a pew or for just taking a few moments to soak it in after becoming husband and wife.
.
🥂 Outside at the church. Photos on the stairs or outside the church doors are always a great option and show off the church as well as your venue.
.
🥂 Outside at your reception venue/reception space. These are phenomenal for all of your gorgeous well lit environmental portraits like this one showcased at @glass_chapel in Broken Arrow. They have so many gorgeous spots around the property that are all gorgeous for portraits. I LOVE this geometric wall down by its gazebo which is another great portrait location.
.
If you are soon to be married, where are you most excited to take portraits on your wedding day? If you are already married, share your favorite wedding portrait in the comments! 💕
.
All portraits in post taken on 35mm film

Everyone says choose your bridesmaids carefully, and I completely agree.

From surviving harsh coaching and emotional turmoil, to seeking truth above rumors, to trying new things, to having each others back always, these girls have seen my highest highs and my lowest lows.

What an honor to have you all stand by my side on this special day!! I’m so thankful for each and every single one of you! How you have loved me through these seasons has inspired me and made me better because of it!! Picking you all was easy, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing 🤍

5.23.2026🌸💍💛

We truly could not have had a more special day! Each vendor helped the vision come to life & also great people to work with. Many thanks to @mariahs_events for helping the wedding of my dreams become a reality! She’s truly the best of the best, with her help we created an amazing team that made our night so memorable.

@bloomfieldphotos & @ignite_the_night_ent checked on us throughout the whole night making sure we were okay! I simply cannot wait to get the video back from @tylerfisherfilms to see Garrett dancing down the stairs for his grand entrance! @sj_paintbrush created the best portraits that guests are still talking about today. @reillyteresitabeautyforashes made the entire bridal party feel beautiful & created the perfect calming vibe getting ready. Not to mention the flowers!!! Still dreaming about @cbfloraldesign stunning florals which completely elevated the beautiful @sparrowbeginnings ! @originalhideawaypizza provided our favorite food, yummy pizza! @ludgerscakes made the most delicious & stunning cake! @partyperfectok had everything we needed to bring our vision to life, I mean did you see the table settings?! And @platinumeventservicesok had the best team making sure the drinks were flowing!!!

Not to mention my own personal glam with my nails by @nailsbynelson2.0 & blonde highlights by @made.bydanica that made me feel so pretty for all of the wedding festivities!!

Endlessly grateful for everyone who played a part in making our day so so special. I’ll be obsessing over these photos for the rest of my life! 🤩💗

Nothing will make a bigger difference on your wedding day than your own excitement! Your joy will overflow and seep into every picture, it will color memories, and will be unavoidable!

Katherine & Garrett's made the day their own. Tables competed in musical chairs for 1st to dinner, Pistol Pete threw down, and shirts were blasted into the crowd with the newlywed's childhood faces printed across! Seriously such a great time!

Shout out to my 2nd shooter @amandagracephoto.co who shot ONLY 35mm film all day!! (of course at Katherine's request)

Truly
