For our final wig, I chose a Victorian Regency-era style.

We created this Bridgerton-inspired hairstyle by carefully sectioning the hair and using the blue and red hot sticks to set each curl. The placement of every roller was planned with precision to achieve the soft shape, height, and movement typical of Regency-era styling. Holly’s thick, beautiful hair was amazing to work with , Swipe to see the process!! Thank you, Sue !

Finished our barbering week with @andy_barber_hmua with a session working on our own models and thought it was only fair after years of free nails for my mam that Mr Blue Steel Mercer got a freebie 😗😗

Some hairstyles don’t follow trends -they define eras.

Audrey Hepburn’s iconic 1960s silhouette is a masterclass in timeless beauty,a beehive, an elegant French pleat, and impeccable balance.

Facial hair week at @cbma_academy 🤣
We had potentially tooo much fun creating different looks with all the different facial hair techniques. We covered beard application, laying on, creating stubble with hair & alcohol palettes, colouring hair with alcohol palettes, using Marcel tongs & how to properly clean the beards and models!
Thank you to all my models and our wonderful tutor Nuria Mbomio-Mba 💕

✨ 60s + 70s glam, but make it a masterclass 💄

I had such a brilliant day teaching at Christine Blundell Makeup Academy one of the UK’s leading makeup academies, working with their talented students on iconic 60s + 70s inspired looks.

It was such a joy to share some of the techniques, tips and industry experience I’ve picked up throughout my career, while seeing the students put their own creative spin on these incredible eras!

From the bold eyes of the 60s to the effortless, expressive glamour of the 70s. Such a fun day exploring how the history of makeup continues to influence the work we create today 🤍

I’m so grateful for opportunities like this to share what I love with the next generation of makeup artists.

Thank you @cbma_academy for having me, I can’t wait to be back! 🪄

Learning how to create Apollo knots a hairstyle that was quite the statement in the 19th century! 🤍✨ Swipe to see the process.

We started by setting the wigs on rollers, using a specific rolling pattern and carefully sectioning the hair to achieve the correct curl and shape.

Next came building the Apollo knot using cardboard as our form. This definitely required patience—we had to be really careful with the setting spray, making sure we didn’t use too much or too little. Our main styling product was good ole Water.

The wigs were then left in the oven overnight to set, and the next day was the exciting part: removing the cardboard and hoping the knot would hold without collapsing! 🙈😂

To finish the look, we added a switch at the base for extra fullness and styled the curls into a soft triangular shape to beautifully frame the face.

It’s amazing how much precision and planning goes into recreating historical hairstyles. Every lesson teaches me something new, and I’m falling more and more in love with wigs everyday.
