There’s something about coming home to Memphis that fills my heart in a way I can’t quite explain. ❤️ This trip was extra special because we celebrated my beautiful grandma’s 82nd birthday! 🎂✨ She had 10 children, and because of her, I was blessed with this BIG, beautiful family, a lifetime of cousins, aunties, uncles, stories, laughter, lessons, and memories that money could never buy. My time home was short, and I didn’t get the chance to catch up with everyone I wanted to, but I’m so grateful for every hug, every conversation, every familiar face, and every moment I did get to share. As life gets busier, you realize just how precious these moments really are. ❤️ And Memphis will always be more than just family to me…. it’s community. My nonprofit @cbseedfoundation started there. I loved being able to get out, connect with people, and spend some time in Orange Mound supporting a community event. There’s something special about being present in the places and around the people who helped shape you and you pour back into. Happy 82nd Birthday, Grandma. 🥹❤️ Thank you for giving us roots, family, strength, and a legacy that continues to grow through every generation. Memphis, I love you. Family, love you even more! Until next time. 🫶🏾✨ #Memphis #FamilyLegacy #Happy82ndBirthday #GrandmasBirthday #FamilyFirst

PLEASE SHARE + REPOST 🙏🏾 As a mom, I know how important it is to give our children every opportunity to succeed. Reading isn’t just about books, it’s about building confidence, opening doors, and helping our kids believe in themselves. That’s why I’m so proud that @CBSeedFoundation is partnering with Literacy to Success and @theread21 to provide FREE online reading support for students ages 7–21 this summer. Every child deserves the chance to become a stronger reader, regardless of their circumstances. If this program can help even one child discover a love for reading or feel more confident heading into the next school year, it’s worth sharing. If you’re a parent, grandparent, teacher, or know a family who could benefit, please tag them or share this post. ❤️ 📚 FREE access through August 31 🔗 Sign up today: summer.read21.org Together, let’s help build stronger readers today and brighter futures tomorrow. 💙 #Read21 #SummerReading #LiteracyMatters #ReadingChangesLives #Community Education KidsWhoRead LearningTogether GiveBack

🎄 This holiday season, love showed up in Memphis. 1,250+ families impacted over the last 7 years. My nonprofit CB Seed Foundation and what a pleasure has it been to partner with one of my bffs @Candace Rice throughout the years to make BIG IMPACT in the city of Memphis. Nearly 60 children served this year—and this one meant everything. This has been the most challenging year yet. Nearly two years after being hit by a car, healing, rebuilding, and finding my footing again, it would’ve been easy to pause. But serving these children and families mattered more than anything. Even when it was tight, even when it took everything; we got it done. I’m deeply grateful for my VP/partner in life and mentor Belinda Campbell. My incredible friends, partners, and community who answered my call, showed up without hesitation, and continue to contribute with love and belief in this mission. Just so yall know, I don’t take any income from this. It’s all for the kids. A special thank you to our partners: our new partners at @walmart , @benihana —who has been by our side since day one— @ceobernardbronner @bronnerbros , Indian Community Fund of Greater Memphis, all of our incredible individual sponsors who give throughout the year, and every volunteer who poured their heart into this day. We’re also thankful for financial literacy partners at Federal Reserve Bank and Bank of America —- our special partners at the Neighborhood Christian Center (love y’all beyond words), and the City of Memphis for standing with us and our children. We truly couldn’t do this without our partners, sponsors, friends, and community support. From our hearts to yours 🙏🏾 Merry Christmas! 🎄✨ #MerryChristmas #givingback #Memphis #service #servingothers

Y’all, if you know one thing about me… you know I had a young mom. By 19, she had two kids, worked multiple jobs, and somehow stretched every dollar to make it work. Mom, I love you—I still don’t know how you did it. You are amazing! 💙 That’s why @cbseedfoundation means so much to me. For almost 7 years, we’ve been committed to making an impact—ensuring every child learns financial literacy, along with reading comprehension, economic development, housing initiatives, and solutions for homelessness. We just wrapped up our first Financial Literacy Boot Camp of the year, and despite my personal journey of recovery, serving our youth is my greatest joy. At the end of my life, I don’t want to take any of my gifts with me—I want to have poured them all out. I want God to say, “Well done, my daughter.” Biggest shoutout to our incredible volunteers, Bank of America, NCC, and everyone who made this possible! Let’s keep educating, empowering, and breaking cycles! ✨ Want to get involved? Donate, partner, or connect with us at CBSEED.org—together, we can make a lasting impact! #CBSeedFoundation #FinancialLiteracy #ImpactOverEverything #EmpowerTheYouth #MarchMoneyMadness #LegacyOfGiving

Grateful beyond words to have attended and supported the Rare Impact Fund Gala, led by the incredible and kind-hearted Selena Gomez @selenagomez @rarebeauty . Her commitment to youth mental health and self-acceptance is inspiring, with the Rare Impact Fund aiming to mobilize $100 million for youth mental health services. 🌎💫 thank you @shesmaad for thinking of me for this special gala. It was also a privilege to stand alongside my friend @eszylfietaylor Eszylfie Taylor and his nonprofit, the Future Stars Camp. Their mission to help young athletes not only excel in sports but also build character and self-worth is truly remarkable. They’re fostering a generation of motivated, resilient kids who value learning as much as the game itself. As the founder of @cbseedfoundation nonprofit , our mission is close to my heart. Since 2019, we’ve empowered over 1,200 families in Memphis, focusing on financial literacy, reading, and breaking the cycle of poverty. Our foundation is all about Youth Empowerment, Economic Development, Poverty Extinction, and Social Equity (YEPS), and together, we’re making a lasting impact. Giving back isn’t just a choice; it’s a responsibility we all share. By supporting these incredible organizations, we can create change, inspire hope, and spread kindness to those who need it most. If you’re able, please consider donating to help uplift youth and families in need. Let’s all play a part in a brighter, more compassionate future. ✨💙 I also had the chance to meet some incredible people today, including one of my favorite artists, Teddy Swims; saw Karol G perform; connected with my girl and mental health advocate Adrienne, and the CEO and founder of the new meditation app Open; and spent time with my amazing friend and financial advisor Malik. These individuals are true shapeshifters—y’all, check them out! And to everyone else who made this nice special, thank you! #GiveBack #YouthEmpowerment #MentalHealth #FutureStars #CBSeedFoundation #RareImpactFund #SpreadKindness #nonprofit

According to Google, summer officially ends today, but I think this one will live on in my heart for much longer. 🌞 From celebrating my son turning one 🎉 to rediscovering myself after a major breakup (pre-summer) (dating is a wild ride, y’all!) 😅—this summer was unforgettable. I pushed through physical therapy, made big moves, relocated back to LA after 11 months in ATL, and learned who’s truly in my corner. 🏙️🙏🏽 God stretched my faith, showed me when to take out the trash 🗑️, and reminded me of my strength in every step. My son went from having just two teeth to seven this summer, growing up way too fast! 🦷💙 I’ve also learned to be more intentional and excited about my future love life as I continue healing and working on all the incredible things I’ve started. 💖 PS: I’ve been writing a book, and I couldn’t be more excited about that chapter of my life. 📖✨ To the friends I gained, the ones I lost, and the amazing people still beside me, thank you. Here’s to faith, growth, and new beginnings! 💪🏽✨ #SummerToRemember #FaithJourney #HealingAndGrowing #MomLife #DatingAdventures #Author

🌟 Changing Lives, One Child at a Time 🌟 At CB Seed Foundation, we’re dedicated to transforming the lives of children living on and below the poverty line. Our focus on reading and financial literacy is reaching new heights, thanks to incredible partnerships like Read21 and Literacy to Success. This summer, our collaboration ensured that children had access to a robust program teaching reading and comprehension skills. As our summer camp with Cross-Cultural Communities Ministries comes to a close, we’re thrilled to see our students walking away with brand new books and valuable financial resources. A huge shoutout to the amazing teachers who worked tirelessly alongside the children! 👏🏾📚 **Congratulations to a successful summer camp, Cross-Cultural Communities Ministries!** If you have a nonprofit and want to incorporate literacy, Read21 is offering a FREE 60-day pass to use their program for the kids and adults you serve. Send an email to info@read21.org if interested! Additionally, if you know a community that needs financial literacy or a reading Boot Camp, please reach out to us at carrie@cbseed.org. The children are our future, and we’re committed to giving back and creating opportunities for them to succeed. “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill We’re always looking for passionate individuals and organizations to collaborate and sponsor our children to run successful programming throughout the year and beyond.
