For my all my Hoosier alarm think back to 1986 if you’re as old as I am and the first concert that was ever done in our football stadium by John Mellencamp (don’t call me Cougar). This man is his original drummer that I actually remember from that concert and many concerts since then. I recognized him as soon as we sat across from each other didn’t say a thing to him until after we got out and then we couldn’t stop talking about how much we had in common. Kenny Aronoff is not only an accomplished professional musician, but he is an IU grad and we both laughed at the fact that we finally have a decent football team after over 120 years. Kenny thank you for the chat, the photo and I hope we work something out to have you sit in a class and share with my graduate students your journey. Keep rocking.

A week in the life ….. last Thursday I started by traveling to Maryland to working with several of my Kidz in the equitation finals during week 1 of CC, then zipped back home for in person and zoom calls Monday & Tuesday, followed by a full Wednesday of more zoom calls, a boxing visit to RGBA, teaching two grad classes one that featured a guest who is a highly regarded D1 waterpolo player sharing his work with me, and now closing the loop by taking a redeye flight to be in the corner of more Kidz competing in week 2 of Cap Challenge and USET. Time for my first cappuccino.

The road to greatness maybe be lonely at times but you can’t get to your destination alone and you must develop the muscle between your ears to learn how to manage staying and dealing with issues that await you on the path. As Coach Signetti said in his press conference, “ I create winners, google me”. Embrace the idea of wanting to be your best because that is a strength and a mindset of wanting to get better.

He did it! Congratulations to one of my students on your successful completion of the Robin Sage - the final, four-week culminating field training exercise that U.S. Army Special Forces candidates must pass to earn their Green Berets. Ceremony is in 10 days and I can’t wait to share our interview on how he incorporated tools and perspective from our sessions in his training to prepare for this grueling experience. 3rd time is a charm brother!!! #mindset #betweentheears #mentalskillstraining #specialforces

What does true inclusion in sports and group fitness actually look like? Dr. Kristin Mauldin (@kristinmauldin; @cbu_spp) explores the hidden emotional, social, and practical barriers disabled and neurodivergent athletes often face and how coaches can either strengthen or damage motivation through their responses. In this clip, learn actionable strategies to help every athlete feel challenged, valued, supported, and fully included within the team. this year i had the privilege of observing and working with @cbudance ! throughout my time with the team i have had the honor of learning a new sport, culture and atmosphere. these girls are the epitome of diligence, passion, and grace.

i am extremely grateful for all of the lessons they have taught me, and for the major role they have played into my growth as a consultant. i am excited to continue supporting them through their trip to Daytona this week and next season! i would wish them luck, but these girls have proven luck has no part in their success.

go lancers!

Sending prayer and good luck to @cbudance this week as they compete in their nationals competition in Daytona!

Every year, I am absolutely floored by this team, not just because of their amazing routines, but also from the character that each of the young women have. Every practice, they come ready to work and push each other to their full potential, and I could not be more proud of them! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey, I can’t wait to see you all kill it this week!

Remember ladies: You’re built for this!

Good luck and make sure to go out with a BOOM!
