“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5 and 6

Aim small. Trust big.

Golfers learn this early.
You don’t aim at the whole fairway.
You pick one spot, one tree in the distance, one patch of grass, and you lock in on it.
A small target sharpens your focus and steadies your swing.

Then comes the hard part. Once the ball leaves the clubface, it’s out of your hands. You can’t steer it. You can’t control the wind or the bounce. You hold your finish and trust what you put into the swing.

The same goes for every athlete.
It goes for every person reading this too.

Aim small.
Focus on what’s right in front of you: today’s practice, this rep, this conversation, this assignment, this next right step. Do the small things with excellence, because small things done faithfully add up!

Trust big. Results, timing, and whatever comes next were never yours to control. Surrender them to the God who sees the whole course, and lean on Him instead of your own understanding.
He’s the One who makes the path straight.

Whatever you’re facing this week, pick your target, give it everything, and leave the rest in His hands.

Aim small. Trust big.

This circle is sacred ground.

It’s a reminder that we don’t compete alone and we don’t compete for ourselves.

Different paths. Different stories. One team. One purpose.

That’s CBU.

Different sports. Different seasons. Same starting point.

Whether it’s the court, the field, the pool, the track, or the mat... it begins with a huddle and a prayer.

“Pray continually.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17

In the big wins. In the hard losses. In the early mornings and the long bus rides home.
Prayer isn’t where our athletes go when they need something.
It’s where they live.

That’s the Lancer way.
