I took a behind-the-scenes tour of the Colorado Convention Center this morning during Doors Open Denver. Learned about the logistics of hosting conventions, but of course what always grabs me is the art, and the convention center has some iconic pieces, like the Blue Bear (officially, “I See What You Mean”). There is also a spectacular view of Denver and the mountains from the rooftop terrace. Watch to the end, with sound on, to see/hear the Laughing Escalator. When you ride it, faintly derisive laughter cuts you down to size. We learned that some conventioneers have been so offended they asked the laughter to be turned off. 😆

Thanks for the fascinating tours this weekend, @denverarchitecture , and thanks for sharing, @cccbluebear 🐻

Two 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, packed demonstrations, in-depth conversations, promising projects and strong dealer interest made CEDIA Expo 2026 an outstanding event for Alcons Audio. 🥇

In Sound Room 9, visitors experienced our 13.8.6 system, featuring CRMSQ-based LCR systems, CRMSC-SRHV surround, width and height channels, eight CRMS LFE18 subwoofers and Alcons ALC amplified loudspeaker controllers.

Presented by AVSforum and eCoustics, the two awards recognised the Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience. CEDIA also marked the first public presentation of our new IRP24 ultra-shallow in-wall pro-ribbon loudspeaker. 🔊

Each year, we aim to take the Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience to a higher level of integration, realism and immersion. This year, that was made possible together with Christie Digital, Trinnov Audio, DreamScreen, Lumagen, Kaleidescape and Poes. 🤝🏻

A sincere thank you to everyone who visited, listened and shared their impressions—and to all our partners for making the experience possible!

Thank you for spending your weekend with us at the Colorado Fall Home Show. To everyone who walked the floor, asked the hard remodeling questions, adopted a new plant at the Rare Plant Party, shopped the Kids Market, and cheered on the Puppy Fashion Show: you made this one special.

Thank you to our nearly 250 exhibitors for showing up with your best ideas, to our feature partners, presenters and designers, and to Lifetime Home Remodeling for presenting the show. And a big thank you to the heroes, teachers, and school employees who joined us. We were glad to have you.

Now go tackle those fall projects. We’ll see you at the Colorado Garden & Home Show, Feb. 13-21, 2027, at the Colorado Convention Center.

Until then, keep tagging us in your before-and-afters. We love to see it.
