15 weeks without you, Carson. 💔😭

Every time I really stop and think about never getting to see you again, it still rocks me to my core. How is this even real? How am I supposed to wrap my head around the fact that I will never see your face, hear your voice, feel your hugs, or touch you ever again?

It’s the saddest, weirdest feeling I’ve ever experienced. My head knows you’re gone, but my heart still can’t comprehend it. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how YOU can be here one minute, filling our lives with your smile, your laughter, and your crazy personality, and then suddenly I’m supposed to figure out how to live without you. 💔😭

I look at pictures like this and see your smile, your personality, and that silly side of you that I love so much. I would give anything to have one more day with you, even if it was just an ordinary day of you being YOU. ❤️

15 weeks. I miss you, Carson. I love you. Always and forever. ❤️‍🩹

One day, someone will ask about your tattoo, and you’ll get to tell a story about someone you never want the world to forget. ❤️

These two tattoos carry pieces of my heart that I’ll carry with me forever.

The words “Be Happy Always” are in my Daddy’s own handwriting. He passed away on December 4, 2024, and having his actual handwriting on my arm is a way to keep a little piece of him with me every single day. ❤️

The angel wings and Psalm 91:1 are for my Carson. My sweet boy left us unexpectedly on July 9, 2026, at just 18 years old. His ashes are mixed into the ink, so a little piece of him is literally part of me forever. 💙

Two tattoos. Two people I love and miss more than anything. Two stories I’ll never get tired of telling.

One reminds me to keep finding reasons to be happy, even when life breaks my heart. The other reminds me that my Carson is always with me, even though I can’t hold him in my arms.

And if someone asks about my tattoos, I’ll proudly tell them about the two incredible souls behind them. I’ll say their names, share their stories, and make sure they’re never forgotten. Because as long as I’m here, their stories will live on through me. ❤️🪽

Forever my Daddy. Forever my Carson. Forever loved. Always remembered.

😂❤️ Chayse and I went to Uptown Cheapskate yesterday, and LOOK what I found! A Wienerschnitzel shirt! 🌭🥤

Seems a little silly to get excited over a fast-food shirt, BUT Y’ALL… this one actually has a story! 😂

After Chayse was born OVER 20 YEARS AGO, I had the BIGGEST craving for a milkshake from Wienerschnitzel. So guess where we made our very first drive-thru stop?! Yep! Wienerschnitzel! 😂 One day old, and that girl was already making milkshake memories with her mama! ❤️

Who knew a shirt I found at a resale store would take me straight back to one of those little memories I’ll never forget?! 🥹❤️

Now I just need to go get me a milkshake to go with it! 😂🥤

Okay, y’all, let me tell you something! 😂❤️

I have ALWAYS been particular about which stall I use in a public bathroom. If the first one is open, that’s where I’m going! When I was an undergrad at Texas State, one of my friends told me about a study that supposedly showed most people skip the first stall and use one of the ones farther down. So naturally, I decided the first stall must be the cleanest! 🤣 Ever since then, I’ve pretty much stuck to that rule. I NEVER use the last or second-to-last stall if I can help it!

Well, today I went to the bathroom at Target, and for whatever reason, I walked right past my usual first stall and went into the SECOND-TO-LAST ONE. Don’t ask me why, because I have no idea! 😂

And wouldn’t you know it… THERE WAS A FEATHER ON THE FLOOR! 🪶❤️

I haven’t felt a sign from Carson in a week or so, and last night I went to bed feeling pretty sad, asking him for SOMETHING… just a little sign that he’s still near me.

And today, in a bathroom stall I would normally NEVER choose, there it was. A feather. 🪶

Maybe some people would think it was just a feather, but I believe my boy knew exactly what his mama needed. ❤️🥹 I can’t explain it, and I don’t need to. I know what it meant to me, and that’s enough.

I love you, Carson. Keep those little signs coming, because your mama sure does need them. ❤️😭

Always and forever. Until we meet again. 🪶❤️

💕 The Gal Pals! 💕

We had the best time tonight hanging out with 2/3 of the Gal Pals! 😂❤️ EV and Anna, I honestly don’t know if I would’ve made it through the rest of the day without your visit! Y’all have no idea how much I needed that tonight! A little catching up, laughing, and just hanging out was good for my soul! 🥰

I love y’all so much, and it still makes me smile that Carson’s friendships turned into friendships for us too! Who knew we’d end up with our own little Gal Pals crew?! ❤️😂

Kara, we sure missed you tonight! It’s just not the same when all three of you aren’t together! We’ll have to get the whole gang back together soon! 🩷

Love y’all BIG! Thanks for making my day a little better! ❤️😘

I think one of the hardest parts of losing Carson is watching my other kids have to figure out life without him. 💔

Especially Chayse. 🥺

They had gotten so close. They were siblings, but they were also best friends. They had their own jokes, their own memories, their own bond. ❤️

And right now, with everything Chayse is going through, I can’t help but think about how badly I wish Carson were here for her. I know he’d be right beside her—making her laugh, giving her a hard time, listening when she needs someone, or just being her brother. 💔

Then there’s Braiden, all the way in New York. 💔 He hadn’t seen Carson in over a year before we lost him, and now he has to grieve his little brother from so far away. I can’t imagine how hard that distance must make an already unbearable loss. I know how much he loves Carson. ❤️

And Bobby… his biggest brother. 🥺 He absolutely adores Carson. Those two are my bookends. ❤️ Seeing Bobby have to live without his little brother breaks my heart. They have such a special bond, and that will always be there no matter how much time passes. 💔

As their mom, I want so badly to make this easier for all of them. I want to take away the hurt, but I can’t. I can’t give them their brother back. 😭

And that’s one of the hardest parts of this whole nightmare.

I miss Carson every single day. But watching my kids miss him and having to live a life that was never supposed to be without him… that hurts in a whole different way. 💔

Tonight, I just can’t catch my breath. 💔

Not because I’m physically out of breath… but because grief can literally feel like it takes the air right out of you.

Chayse posted “Draw You Out” by Noah Kahan on her Snapchat story tonight, so I listened to it. And damn… it hit me.

There’s something about the idea of carrying someone with you, saying their name, and keeping them alive in the stories, the memories, and the love you still have for them.

Because I don’t know how to do this without Carson here.

I don’t know how to make sense of a world where I have to keep living when he doesn’t get to.

I just know I’ll keep carrying him. I’ll keep saying his name. I’ll keep talking about him. I’ll keep loving him.

Even on nights like tonight when it feels like my heart is breaking all over again and I can’t even catch my freaking breath.

Carson, I love you. And I’ll carry you with me until I get to see you again. 🤍
