🔥 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: LOUD PLANET RECORDS 🔥

Straight outta Nottingham, @loudplanetrecords are bringing three key names from the city’s underground to the Notts Family launch: @lvndlxrd_uk , @jrocketlpr & @iamvandalsavage .

Rooted in hip-hop, rap and 140-influenced sounds, Loud Planet sits firmly in the part of Nottingham’s music scene where beats, bass and bars collide. (Loud Planet Records)

At the centre of the collective is producer LVNDLXRD, whose production provides the foundation for a long-running creative partnership with Nottingham rapper, MC and DJ Jimmy Rocket. Alongside them is Vandal Savage, bringing his own distinctive MC style and lyricism to the mix.

The three have built a catalogue together over the years, including Last Ones Left Vol. 1, released through Loud Planet Records in 2024, and Dopamine, released in 2025. (Loud Planet Records)

This isn’t polished or manufactured pop-esque Hip hop. It’s Nottingham underground music. Raw production, heavy bass, sharp bars and three artists who are actively contributing to the city’s independent music culture.

And that’s exactly why we wanted them at the launch.

📍ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: @dusty4track

We’re kicking off our Notts Family artist spotlights with Dusty 4 Track.

The Nottingham duo bring together alternative blues, folk, storytelling and plenty of grit, with a sound that feels made for a packed-out live room.

After years of gigging across Nottingham, Will Jeffery and Benjamin James released their debut album How Did I Get Here?, celebrating its vinyl release with a packed-out show at @roughtradenottm Nottingham.

Reviewing the album launch, @leftlionmagazine editor Sophie Gargett described Will Jeffery’s performance as:

“whiskey-and-honey soaked vocals”

She recommended the band to fans of Tom Waits, C.W. Stoneking and J.J. Cale, describing their songs as conjuring up “arcane cinematic narratives” and How Did I Get Here? as “one of the most interesting albums to come out of Notts in a long time.”

We’ll take that.

Expect soulful musicianship, bluesy riffs, storytelling, grit and plenty of character when Dusty 4 Track take to the stage for the Notts Family launch.

It’s all Family.

With over 4 years of documenting Nottingham through photography and videography, we’re bringing that same creative mindset into something new.

Including with our beloved city feline Menelaus. We’re taking inspiration from the city, the culture and the stories we’ve captured along the way, to create designs with a little Notts Family flavour.

A new way to showcase Nottingham.
