We missed our train to New York City...

Saturday, May 24, the morning of Chelsea and Tyler’s maternity session. We got up early and headed to the Philly train station, planning to ride into the city together… but not before grabbing a few dreamy photos outside first.

We had 10 minutes before the train left.

We wrapped up the shots, rushed in, tried to find the track
…but honestly we felt like we walked inside Hogwarts (yeah... Confused and lost AF!)

Cue the frantic asking around until someone finally said:
“Oh… that train literally just left the station.” 😭

My heart sank. I was devastated. And honestly? A little embarrassed.

Upgraded tickets were wild, so we pivoted. Drove from Philly to NYC (shoutout to ticket insurance for the full refund 🙌🏻), and from there? Everything aligned. Perfect weather. Easy parking. Stunning locations.

Oh, and we casually ran into @bradleywhitford in Central Park who joined us for a mini session 🥹

We weren’t even supposed to be in that part of the park if we had taken the train.

So no… it didn’t go as planned.

It went better.

The universe had a reroute in mind and it DELIVERED 🤌🏻

And as if that wasn’t enough magic… While we were at Bethesda Terrace mid-session, an acapella singer began belting “All of Me” by John Legend… and we all started crying.

Unreal 🥹✨

Yesterday in NYC was one for the books 😍

Chelsea & Tyler booked their final maternity session with me, and it was already feeling magical as we wandered through Central Park...until things took a wild turn 🫣

We casually strolled past a man just minding his own, & Chelsea made us flip a U-turn real quick.

A little Google search and… yup, we had just walked by the one and only @bradleywhitford 🥹

I walked up and said, “Excuse me, sir, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like Bradley Whitford?”
He smiled and replied, “You know, they do.”

And THEN—he met Chelsea, took a few pictures, and said “Blessed be the fruit.”
Chelsea followed with “May the Lord open.”
I screamed. (Yes, there’s a video!!)

Still can’t believe that happened & I can’t wait to share more from this absolutely stunning session 🥹🥰

Just a little throwback to this hazy beach sunset 😍 I'm missing the long days so much!

I'm totally having a hard time with this time change, happens every year, yet I'm never prepared! 🫠 Already started taking my vitamin D & multi vitamin to help! Being someone who has depression & anxiety I really try to look for ways to help boost my mood - especially with the lack of sunshine 🌞

G & I also are participating in @twloha 's December challenge to move 1 mile a day. We love their mission and what a better motivator to get us moving during the cold months! If you've never heard of To Write Love on Her Arms, I definitely recommend checking them out. (Not sponsored - just appreciate them for being such big advocates for mental health 🖤)

What do you do to help when the winter blues hit?
