We love getting out into our community! Our Clear Creek CCHAT (Community Crisis and Health Assistance Team) had a wonderful time connecting with residents across #ClearCreekCounty recently! From chatting with parents and students about mental health and wellness at the Clear Creek Schools Safety Summit, to connecting with local seniors at the Senior Wellness Event at the Clear Creek Recreation District, our team is always here to help you access local resources, health support, and crisis assistance services. Thanks to everyone who came out!

The Clear Creek Rec Center is one of those Idaho Springs gems visitors don’t always think to look for—and there’s something here for every age and energy level. Even better: guests at Idaho Springs RV Campground get two admissions for the price of one! Grab a friend and ask us for a pass. Because you really don’t have to climb a mountain to have a blast.

Clear Creek EMS is on a mission to make Clear Creek County an official HeartSafe Community by training at least 15 percent of local residents in CPR. In a rural community where hospital transport times can take longer, citizens knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED directly strengthens the chain of survival for sudden cardiac arrests. You can join the effort and help reach this goal in a few different ways: -Catch the team out in the community this summer! Stop by the Clear Creek EMS tent at local events, meetings, and races for a free, hands-on training in CPR, AED basics, and first aid. You will even earn a life-saver sticker for learning! -Attend a Saturday certification class at the Clear Creek Recreation District (98 12th Ave, Idaho Springs)! Clear Creek EMS is holding certification classes on August 15th & November 21st from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. These sessions cover adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, first aid, and emergency intervention. The fee is $25 per person, cash only. -Already CPR certified on your own? Email mhiler@clearcreekcounty.us so your training can be counted toward the 15 percent community target. To register for upcoming classes, see where we will be next, or learn more about the initiative, visit the link in bio!

If they walked 500 miles, we’d still be waiting for them to finish. Good thing they ran. The race may have started up the mountain, but the celebration finished right here in Georgetown. From runners crossing the finish line to music, games, and community fun in City Park, it was a great day to be a Slacker. Thanks to everyone who ran, volunteered, cheered, and helped make the after-party one to remember. See you next year! #slackerrace #slackerhalfmarathon #visitgeorgetown #coloradoevents #runcolorado

Be the good kind of slacker. You know, the kind that runs downhill, loves a good post-race party, and definitely doesn't wait until the last minute and pay more. The next (and final) price increase for all Slacker Races is June 1st! 📈 We’ve got the mountains, the medals, and the beer. You just need to bring the registration. Lock in the best rate and get your feet on the starting line for June 27th.
