I wish Burning Man would’ve been a month later in the year so I could’ve been a little more present and less stressed out instead of coming to the playa directly from handling my mom’s death arrangements—oof. Nobody likes my joke “I went from burning mom to Burning Man”….she would’ve though, so whatever.

I almost didn’t go at all and I’m probably the only person that used the week to catch up on sleep somehow because my truck is so cozy. (flexing on the Shiftpods)

I’m thankful for all of the new friends I got to make in my camp from all around the world, for the nomad friends I got to see throughout the week, writing letters to my mom at the Temple and leaving some of her ashes for the final burn. That was healing.

Glad I went after all, I love an excuse to not have pants on for an entire week and riding light up bikes around like kids after such a stressful month prior.
