Donna’s a big fan of @mumimalienpregnant and was ‘just delighted’ when the legendary @jordanmarkwindsor watched her latest film. She’d like to make it publically known however, that she is the only LIKEABLE character in Mutually Assured Destruction.

Just like Donna, we’re counting down the days to the official premiere at @showmeshorts on October 10th! You best believe Donna will be gracing our screens with a gin in one hand and her finest silks on darling. ❤️‍🔥

The garden today is a bit foggy and mysterious... some fern is growing among the grass. And some cool alt-jazz is playing.

Do you like the vibe? Let it grow!

Part 13 - Crystal Chen (@ccrystal.chen)

I’ve had the pleasure of being able to watch her set live a few times now and she brings such a smooth, and sultry take on Jazz/Soul music. A funky mix buttery vocals, with music that makes you want to move. It’s quite a unique sound, especially in NZ. Most recently I watched her open for Hiatus Kaiyote and I was just blown away!

Last year was a really great year for jazz in Aotearoa and Te Waipounamu (New Zealand). In my latest for Audio Culture, I wrote about ten New Zealand jazz records recorded by bands, collectives and solo artists from Tāmaki Makaurau to Ōtepoti and back again. The feature is live on the site now.
