Stepping into Snug Club ✨

Tucked behind a door off my client’s living room is this little moment of arrival into Snug Club.

A glowing vintage mirror sits above a petite vintage console, beautifully juxtaposed with the striking Polly stool by talented Melbourne creative @kellythompsoncreative

The powder blue upholstery pops against the burgundy-drenched walls, while the delicate floral embroidery brings a touch of the eclecticism that defines the entire space.

A moment to pause, check your reflection (or sneak in a mirror selfie!) before heading around the corner to the conversation pit.

A big thank you to @ethanwairau for so beautifully styling the space with those all-important details 💄

Who doesn’t need a fluffy chair in their life?!

We love mixing old with new, like this vintage occasional chair reupholstered in the most delicious Icelandic sheepskin. Just one of the many special pieces going into our Art Deco House project (she’s an absolute beauty and we can’t wait to share more soon!)

Entry table at ‘Snug Club’ by @alessandrasmith_design

Creating the world of a travelled and cosmopolitan character for this project was such a fun day on set and I love how the pastels and acid green of the florals interact with Alessandra’s impeccable wall colour selection that drench the entirety of this space.

THE LIST | living ✨

A living room should be equal parts comfort, creativity and a carefully curated collection of the things you love.

Unlike some spaces in the home, I don’t think a living room needs to come together all at once. The larger pieces are an investment, while the smaller layers can evolve slowly over time.

Mix old with new, pattern with texture, something beautifully designed with something a little unusual.

Ultimately, the best living spaces aren’t simply filled with beautiful things. They reflect the style, stories and experiences of the people who live there.

Collect slowly. Choose well. Make it yours!!

Before and after ❤️‍🔥

This one started with a call about a conversation pit in Fitzroy, and took six stages and ten months to arrive at the moody after.

There are the things you can see: new furniture, layered lighting, art and objects that feel considered. Then there’s everything you can’t - hundreds of fabric swatches narrowed down to the handful that made the cut, a paint colour tested and retested before the lighting was even in, hours spent tracking down one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, and always, underneath it all, managing trades, suppliers and the budget to get it done just in time for my client to host her NYE party 🎉
