Women spend so much time chasing smaller. Chasing a certain look. The perfect figure.

I wish someone had told me sooner to chase strength instead. 💪

The other day, my dad told me he was hanging something at home when his knee suddenly gave out. Thank goodness there was a ladder beside him to grab.

All I could think was, what if it had not been there?

Then yesterday, I caught up with my old fitness coach @cd__chen1987. We ended up talking about how our bones can become more fragile as we age and how strength training helps support our muscles, balance, and bone density.

For years, I trained to look good.

It took me reaching my 40s to understand what I was really building.

Being smaller does not always mean being healthier.

Strength is being able to carry yourself through every stage of life.

What is one small thing you can do for your future self this week? 👇

An extremely overdue thank you to my family and friends for keeping me “mostly” sane during prep 😂
From dealing with my mood swings, snack cravings, random posing breaks, and the occasional random mental breakdown… to showing up loud and proud on show day — you kept me going more than you know.
So grateful for every single one of you ❤️🙏

From 2011, before my two little ones, to today—my fitness journey has been full of challenges, but also growth. I wouldn’t have made it without the guidance and mentorship of my amazing friend, who was my personal trainer through it all. 💪🏽 @cd__chen1987

Finding the right mentor, especially at the beginning, is everything. The road to fitness isn’t always easy, but having someone by your side to guide you makes all the difference. That’s why I’m so proud to support my friend as he starts his own fitness business in Oakville. He’s a national competitor, but even for someone as accomplished as him, starting your own business is never easy.

If you’re starting your fitness journey, or even considering taking the leap into your real estate journey, know that having the right support system can make all the difference. I’m here for him, and I’m here for you too. 💯

The next few weeks will be crucial for me to maintain as much conditioning and shape as possible.

I've definitely enjoyed myself a little bit, but never gone overboard. I have kept cardio in and have averaged 13k to 15k steps a day pushing my awesome @f45_training_lambtonkingsway @f45_training_bloorwestvillage members.

My diet has continued to be clean, staying on my 1 week out meal plan.

I'm still not pushing intensity in training, due to fatigue from prep.

➡️ This next phase will not be the same. This time it's different and I have a chip on my shoulder that needs to be addressed.
