POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Throwback Thursday. In the winter of 2000 / 2001 and running through the summer of 2001 @wb1rds_ and I enjoyed Sundays shooting at Blackwater on the weekends that I was home during our platoon work up over all those months.

Our platoon was a great group of guys. We would socialize together several times a week when we were back at the beach. Our wives and girlfriends would meet us wherever we were having a few beers ( most often at @chicksoysterbar ).

@wb1rds_ and I held a party at our oceanfront apartment that lasted all Memorial Day weekend in 2001. The whole platoon and some guys from other platoons and departments at the Team came and brought their ladies. We had tons of crawfish flown in by our Cajun teammates. It was a blast.

We’d never know that type of closeness with our tribe again.

Some of the guys in the pics have passed away, one is now a retired Admiral, a couple became Command Master Chiefs, one was the point man that shot OBL in 2011. Several served or still serve at the highest level in the Teams.

We had no idea on September 10, 2001, 25 years ago today how drastically it was all going to change.

We would be the first SEAL platoon to deploy after 9-11 from the east coast just days after the attacks.

Grounded and Strong! 🌍✨

🦀The Crab is an advanced Pilates exercise that challenges spinal articulation, balance, and control while deeply opening the hips and stretching the neck. This movement requires precision, strength, and coordination—bringing awareness to the C-curve, core activation, and fluidity of motion.

✅ Articulate the Spine – Roll smoothly through each vertebra, maintaining control.
✅ Balance & Control – Find stability in the transition, moving gracefully.
✅ Open the Hips – Deepen the stretch, allowing mobility and release.
✅ C-Curve Strength – Engage the abdominals to support the shape.
✅ Neck Stretch – Lengthen through the cervical spine for decompression.

In this position—pelvis over knees, pressing the feet firmly into the earth—you create stability, activate deep core muscles, and improve posture. This alignment also helps protect the lower back, strengthen the legs, and enhance balance. Feel the connection from the ground up! 🌿💪
