Less hunger. Increased fullness. Significant weight loss.

Semaglutide is one of the most extensively studied GLP-1 receptor agonists, with human clinical trials demonstrating benefits beyond weight reduction.

How does it work?

Semaglutide activates GLP-1 receptors, increasing satiety, reducing hunger, slowing gastric emptying, and improving glucose regulation. This often leads to lower calorie intake.

What does the human research show?

STEP 1: 1,961 participants, 68 weeks

Adults with overweight or obesity, without diabetes:

• 14.9% average weight loss with semaglutide vs. 2.4% with placebo
• 86% lost at least 5% of their body weight
• 69% lost at least 10%
• 50% lost at least 15%

STEP 2: 1,210 participants, 68 weeks

In adults with type 2 diabetes, average weight loss was 9.6% with semaglutide vs. 3.4% with placebo, alongside improvements in glucose control.

Cardiovascular Outcomes: 17,604 participants

In adults with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity, without diabetes, major cardiovascular events occurred in 6.5% receiving semaglutide vs. 8.0% receiving placebo which was a 20% relative risk reduction.

What about side effects?

Common adverse effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal discomfort.

Contraindications to consider include personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, or serious hypersensitivity. Additional warnings involve pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and dehydration related kidney injury.

Semaglutide isn’t a direct fat burner. Its effects on appetite, satiety, and glucose regulation can produce substantial weight reduction, with cardiovascular benefits demonstrated in specific populations.

Less pain. Easier movement.

That’s what people want from recovery. But when someone says a peptide “helped them heal,” what actually got better?

Did the pain decrease? Could they move more comfortably? Did the injured tissue repair or do we only know that it felt better?

Those are different questions, and they require different measurements.

Animal research has reported improvements in tendon strength and tissue appearance with TB-500. That is worth investigating, however it does not establish the same benefit in people.

Early human reports also must be reviewed. A small knee pain study reported improvement after BPC-157 alone or combined with reported thymosin beta-4, but it did not use follow up scans to demonstrate tissue repair.

And TB4 research should not be treated as TB-500 research and this is all too common. The full length peptide and the shorter fragment reviewed by FDA are different molecules. Safety and efficacy from one cannot be applied to the other. We see extrapolation of data with fragments of compounds in this space too often.

Scans help show what is changing inside the tissue. Strength and movement tests help show what it can actually do. Pain and daily function scores help show whether life got easier. Together, they provide a more complete picture of recovery.

Positive experiences deserve attention, however more controlled human research with larger sample sizes is needed to establish whether there is a benefit, how large it is, and how safe the treatment is. Many of the studies completed are on small sample sizes, however anecdotally this compound has been widely used and has great reports.

Less pain. Easier movement. A return to activity.

These are the changes people report after BPC-157 use those experiences deserve a closer look beyond the current data available.

Laboratory and animal research has explored BPC-157’s effects on blood vessel signaling and tissue repair. Human reports and clinical observations add another perspective. What has been reported is primarily changes in pain, mobility, and everyday function.

Those experiences can help identify potential benefits and guide future studies. More controlled research is needed to clarify BPC-157’s contribution, assess safety, and determine whether symptom improvement reflects structural tissue repair.

Swipe through for the research, the reported experiences, and the questions that remain.

I’m still sitting on a meet recap post, in due time;

but what an INCREDIBLE trip to Tampa!

Absolutely blessed with a coach by my side pretty much all weekend for my first meet;

-the roller coaster of the day before making weight
-made weight @ 74.1 kg (75kg class)
-ate my favorite carbs
-coffee
-suntanned
-did the damn thing (more footage of that later)
-celebratory post meet steak, espresso marts + a dart

Glad to be here. Excited about life. Grateful for the support from everyone including one helluva coach/friend.

This prep hit different. 💙

Having a training partner and friend who vibes on the same frequency changes everything. The early mornings, the hard work, showing up for one another, pushing each other to be better, endless laughs… and somehow still getting shit done.

I’m so incredibly grateful you quite literally fell from heaven and became the source of support and the twin sister I never knew I needed.

I’m so proud of everything we’ve already accomplished together, but what excites me even more is knowing we’re just scratching the surface.

The journey is always better when you have someone beside you who believes in you, challenges you, and celebrates every victory along the way.

Here’s to continuing to chase big dreams, embracing every challenge, and proving to ourselves that we’re capable of more than we ever imagined.

We’re literally just getting started 👯

Pile the buns high and let the fun fly ✌🏽

We can do hard things. 🤍
