#SAHARA | 🇫🇷 Au temps où les arpenteurs de désert se comptaient par milliers, le massif de la Tadrart était un must, l'un de ceux qu'il fallait avoir « fait ». Ses plateaux de gré érodés en châteaux fantasmagoriques et envahis par des vagues de sable blanc ou rouge lui vaut de figurer parmi les plus beaux déserts du monde. Mais surtout le parc du Tassilis n'Ajjer abrite l'une des plus grandes collections d'art rupestre préhistorique au monde. Peintures et gravures rupestres datant du néolithique se comptent par milliers sur les parois rocheuses du massif. Un bestiaire d'éléphants, de girafes, de dromadaires et de bovins raconte un Sahara qui n'était pas encore un désert et où coulaient en abondance, l'eau, le miel et le lait.

🇬🇧 At the time when the desert lovers were counted by thousands, the Tadrart mountain range was a must, one of those that had to be "done". Its sandstone plateaus eroded into phantasmagorical castles and invaded by waves of white or red sand is worth it to be among the most beautiful deserts in the world. But especially the cultural Tassilis n'Ajjer Park shelters one of the biggest collections of prehistoric rock art in the world. Paintings and rock engravings dating from the neolithic period can be counted by thousands on the rocky walls of the area. A bestiary of elephants, giraffes, camels and cattle tells of a Sahara that was not yet a desert and where water, honey and milk flowed abundantly.
