Effective training begins with a structured system.

While there may not be a one size fits all approach to training, there are still more intelligent ways to do things in order to get the most out of your training.

This is the typical order of a workout for our athletes here @premier_athletic_development

We use our jumps, plyometrics, throws, and rotation exercise exercises here to prep the body for the subsequent speed block.

We should then be primed and fresh to execute a highly effective speed block.

This will carry us into a power block where we do things like Olympic variations and Jammer work.

Less than potentiates the body for the next strength block.

Once we have finished our main lift for the day that then takes us into our complimentary accessory work, where we focus on structural integrity.

Again, there is no one size it’s all approach, but you do need to have structure in your training if you truly want it to be effective.

If you want to learn more about what we do with our athletes here @premier_athletic_development be sure to follow for more so you can continue to pursue your true athletic potential

It’s not flashy.

It’s not “unique”.

It’s structured.

And it gets results when the work is put in.

You’re training should look like your goals.

Duh, right?

Yet so many athletes still mistake “exercising” for “intentional training”.

There is so much that goes into that first step and what it means for your ability produce force, close gaps, and eventually get to max speed.

Here are some of the main movements we do @premier_athletic_development to develop the qualities needed to help our athletes step on the gas 💨

RING THAT BELL 🛎️

You are not entitled to progress.

It’s not only about what you do, but how you do it.

Like everything in Strength & Conditioning, a tool used for a specific purpose can be incredibly helpful.

However, every tool shouldn’t be used for every job.

We use this protocol during specific phases for our athletes in our more advanced programs with respect to their training age and present level of performance.

Does every athlete need to do these? Absolutely not.

But once athletes have a few years of training under their belt and have proven they are ready for more advanced programming methods, this can be a great way to structure training to continue progressing athletes in ways outside of just adding weight to the bar.

Plus, it’s fun too.

Don’t underestimate the value of “fun training”.

Hard work in the direction of your goals is always worth it.

No on regrets the work they did.

They’ll just regret the work they didn’t do.

The game knows what you’re doing to prepare.

And it will show when the lights are the brightest.
