“patherns” is an animation by cecilia @ceccuu.lia, set to my music. it is drawn by hand with ink on paper and plays with repetition and patterns. sometimes, repetition can lead to something completely new - just like new paths that only emerge when you keep taking the same steps over and over again. the animation was created to an orchestral miniature i composed a few years ago as an exercise in orchestration, inspired by ravel’s arrangement of the „pictures at an exhibition“. i started with the given rhythmic pattern and formal structure, but created my own melodies and harmonies - following the same steps, discovering a new path animation by cecilia @ceccuu.lia music by ilja @elijaazz performed by the german film orchestra babelsberg conducted by christian köhler mix by anastasiia @nasonkinananas

This is what the first footage from our filmmaking workshop looks like. In a double exposure, my head appears to be swallowing other people. We’re shooting on 16mm film, and honestly, look at it — it feels like something straight out of a Friedrich Murnau or Fritz Lang film. Her main topics are relationships, motherhood, body politics, individuality, duality and twins. She is currently doing her masters in animation directing at the University of Film and Television in Potsdam KONRAD WOLF. ceciliahoekenschnieder.de (@ceccuu.lia) Roque is a queer Peruvian artist and he was a professional swimmer with the National Team of Peru. He trained in circus and began his professional training as a contemporary dancer in 2012 to later in 2017 join one of the most prestigious contemporary companies in Lima, Peru. In the last 7 years Roque has been dancing worldwide with renowned companies and artists. Now he's based in Berlin as a freelance artist. (@entreroque) Sibel Sağlam-Engels ist ein Enkelkind der ersten Arbeitsmigrant*innen in Deutschland. Im Jahr 2011 ist sie selbst aus der Türkei nach Deutschland immigriert. Sie spielt in verschiedenen Gruppen Amateur Theater und schreibt Gedichte, die von gesellschaftspolitischen Themen wie Diskriminierung und Solidarität handeln, was ihr am Herzen liegt und sie bewegt. (@sibel_den_) Andrea Wiedermann studierte Visuelle Kommunikation an der HdK (heute UdK). Sie lebt und arbeitet als selbstständige Grafikdesignerin & Illustratorin in Berlin. Dark Oxygen is an experimental knitwear collection I developed during my fashion master’s at @udkfashion . The project is inspired by the groundbreaking scientific discovery of “Dark Oxygen”: oxygen produced without photosynthesis. My collection is set in a video-game in which scientists and divers are sent to the deep sea to harvest dark oxygen and secure humanity’s survival. My knitted outfits equip the players by providing protection, disguise, and adaptation against the harsh conditions of the deep sea. This storyline forms the framework for an immersive world for my master’s collection. A safe space where the rules of the conventional fashion industry don’t apply. With my sculptural knitwear, I question beauty standards and body ideals, while combining digital technology with traditional craftsmanship. Knitting becomes a world generator: here, fashion is more than clothes. It is a building material of an environment. Thanks to everyone involved.
