Honored to have played a part in bringing Kitty Samuels outrageous vision to life and so ‘Blessed’ to have worked with this incredible cast and crew. Sharing some stills from master DP @gusselsprout and yes, the food was a character all its own! Can’t get enough.

WINNER & LOSERS

INTERVIEW: Dir: Cecila Wheeler,

Fifteen year old Carrie-Jean worries that her lower class status will fail to impress her new boyfriend, August, and faces a difficult choice when August makes a bet with her neighbor over an R.C. car that he can't afford to lose.

What inspired you to make this film?
I grew up in Washington, and I wanted to tell a story rooted in the experiences of teenagers I knew. The film explores that moment when you're becoming aware of class differences—those subtle moments when you realise your life doesn't quite look like someone else's. I remember friends who were embarrassed by where they lived because it didn't match the future they imagined for themselves. I also wanted to capture that feeling many teenage girls experience: believing that if they just had the right clothes, the right house or the right possessions, they'd finally become the person they wanted to be.

Wren Stark Haven appreciation post because our baby studio Wild Shape Sound just had the craziest busiest month of work since Wren and I started it. While I’ve been away on a job abroad, my sister/mom/mentor/genius has mixed and managed 3 features and a fuck ton of shorts for @tribeca @raindancefilmfestival and other festival deadlines. Here are just some of those lovely projects.

I am so honored to share this studio with her and to learn from her. She taught me literally everything I know and I owe her all my money and time!!!!!!

and p.s. if you haven’t mixed a movie with us yet, this is your sign 🐛
