We are delighted to welcome Cecilia Rocca of Domenico Clerico, an estate embodying the excellence, boldness, and renewal of Barolo in Piedmont. Join us on Thursday, October 22 at 6pm on our mezzanine to discover her vision of precision viticulture worldwide, while highlighting the unique single-vineyard character and modern identity of the estate’s Barolos. Link in bio.

Cecilia Rocca grew up at the heart of one of Barolo’s most celebrated families, surrounded by the vineyards of Monforte d’Alba and the legacy of her uncle and aunt, Domenico Clerico and Giuliana Viberti. Wine was not just the family business; it was the language spoken at home, the rhythm of daily life. After completing her studies at the Liceo Linguistico, Cecilia broadened her horizons at the ALMA International School of Italian Cuisine in Parma, where she learned that, as with wine, the finest cooking begins with place, precision, and respect for every ingredient.

Now stepping forward as the next generation and emerging voice of the Domenico Clerico estate, Cecilia brings fresh energy and perspective while honoring the work of those before her. With deep roots in the family’s history and a vision firmly set on the future, she is poised to carry the estate’s reputation into a new era.

New generation is well underway @domenicoclerico_winery with brother and sister, Cecilia and Orlando at the helm.
Our tour began with perfect timing- the first delivery on 2026 Nebbiolo from Bricco San Pietro, followed by a comprehensive tasting through all the wines, even through to the top of the tree, the stunning 2016 Percristina.

Domenico Clerico’s Niece Cecilia and Nephew, Orlando Rocca - are the new generation at Clerico.

We were lucky enough to arrive at the same time as the first Nebbiolo grapes of vintage 26. Yes, the vintage is earlier, but the quality we have seen and tasted in fruit from the vineyards is high 💪

With Serralunga day on at the same time, we felt blessed to have Cecilia host us and take us through the new wines.

There’s some foot forward projects in the works here, including a new white wine that is progressing nicely in barrel, working with a very rare native wine grape - more on that later 🤫

24 DOCs will have a lovely follow on with 25 vintage and perhaps the biggest development has been around élevage with the Percristina, from 25 onwards. A little while to wait perhaps, but we think it will be worth it.

In honor of our Clerico focus week next week: Domenico Clerico is one of the most well respected legends in Barolo and his wines have long been celebrated for their extraordinary richness and striking aromatics. The estate is situated in Monforte d’Alba, right in the heart of Barolo with outstanding vineyard holdings in four of the greatest crus of Monforte: Ginestra, Mosconi and Bussia; Baudana in Serralunga. In addition to his devotion to single cru vineyards, Clerico championed what is considered a mod-
ern style of Barolo, using new burgundy barrels and later barriques to age the wines.
Despite his reputation as a modernist, the primary goal was always to maintain purity of fruit and
expression of the land, which the Domenico Clerico wines achieve beautifully. Domenico passed
away in 2017, leaving the estate to his wife, Giuliana, niece, Cecilia and nephew, Orlando to manage. The family continues to shape
Domenico’s legacy by producing timeless wines that embody the land and spirit of Barolo!! We will all be showing these wines next week so if you are interested in tasting please be sure to ask your rep!!

Domenico Clerico x Chaos Hotpot 🍲🍷

@chaoshotpot

What happens when you pair classic Barolo with a bubbling hotpot? An unexpectedly brilliant combination.
We had the pleasure of hosting a relaxed dinner with Cecilia Rocca, representing the new generation of @domenicoclerico_winery. Together, we gathered at Chaos Hot Pot in Hong Kong to explore how the bold flavors of hotpot interact with the depth and structure of these Italian red wines.

The lively environment was a great reminder of what wine is truly about—bringing people together, sparking conversation, and sharing new experiences. 🥩🔥

Thank you to Cecilia for sharing the story and passion of the Domenico Clerico estate with us, and a huge thank you to our clients for joining us on this flavor adventure and bringing such great energy to the table. 🥂
