Sometimes I get asked the question if Cecil is still as cheeky as he was when he was younger. 🐰

The quick answer is no, he’s a lot more calm and chill these days since he’s already 6. 🎂

But he definitely still likes to get into trouble every now and then 😏😏

We have a large potted plant 🪴 on our balcony and Sidney even added a barricade around it to prevent Cecil 🐰 from jumping in.

For the first two weeks Cecil just kept staring at the plant 🌱 so I thought success for us ✅ and defeat for Cecil 👎🏼

Then one day, he somehow figured out how to jump into the potted plant by jumping into our window sill 🪟 first!!

I don’t know if he’s cheeky, or just too smart 🤓 lol

Hey friends 💫

I was thinking of whether or not to post this but thought it was important to hopefully help someone else if this ever happens.

Trimming Cecil’s nails has always been my least favorite thing to do. It’s stressful for him, stressful for me.

We accidentally cut one of Cecil’s nails too short & it started bleeding a lot. I was set into immediate panic. We googled, called our bunny savvy vet, and texted a friend who is very experienced with bunnies.

Recommendations were to use flour or corn starch to help stop the bleeding. We did that for a few minutes and thought the bleeding had stopped. So I put him back on the floor because I knew he was stressed on the table. He started hopping around and I noticed bloody paw prints 🐾 which meant he was still bleeding. We then put him back on the table and more corn starch. The vet called back and said to leave him in the carrier for some time to allow the blood the fully clot. After about 20 minutes, he stopped bleeding finally.

Trimming bunnies nails can be tricky, you have to be very clear to not cut too close to their nail bed where the pink is.

LESSONS HAVE BEEN LEARNED!!!

I’m sorry Cecil and I hope you will forgive me 🤎😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Merry Christmas Eve! ❣️

I repurposed and decorated a cardboard box for Cecil 🐰📦 and added a little door and window 🚪🪟

I have been hiding little treats in there every day for him 🥰

But then I realized I should’ve made the window a tad bigger because clearly he wanted to jump out of there 😅😂

Did you know that wheatgrass 🌾 can be a nutritious treat for your bun? 🐰

It has a lot of different vitamins and minerals and can even help with a little bit of teeth wear. 🦷

What’s great is that you can grow your very own wheatgrass at home! 🏠

(Just keep in mind that your bunny’s diet should still be mostly made up of hay and wheatgrass is not* a substitute for that!) 💚
