From the @geelyautouk Team England taxi experience in May to yesterday’s Team England x Geely kitting-out day 👕

It’s been great looking back on these moments as our London 3x3 players get ready for the @officialteamengland Immersion Camp ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

Wishing our Men’s and Women’s 3x3 teams, and the entire Team England squad, the very best of luck. Go make us proud! ❤️🤍

Playing for your country is a major honour. The dynamics in the national team vs any other team are very different and understanding how to navigate a short evaluation window can be the difference between you making it or not.

This can be intimidating but understanding your coach gives you an unfair advantage over your competition.

Talk to you coach, ask them questions, listen to what they say, be a sponge.

This is all ammo that allows you to act accordingly so you can achieve your goal

Yes the national team is a collection of the best talent in the country.

The best talent doesn’t make the best team. Your job is not to show out as an individual, but to show you can do that within the team structure.

Getting your foot in the door is key… once your in your moments will come… you can’t shine from the outside

Don’t be a one trick pony, everyone wants to score. That’s not a bad thing.

The coach and the system might not want or require you to score.

Doing everything else is just as important and will once again get your foot in the door.

If you can actually score… being on the floor is all you need… focus on that

I’ve lost jobs because of bad body language,

I’ve been cut because of how I reacted

I’ve shot myself in the foot many times during my career… don’t be like me.

When you’re a new comer in a new environment and you’re being evaluated, don’t create an opportunity for them to pass on you

This might be one of the most important things and easiest ways to get on the staff’s radar.

90% of players don’t speak. Using your voice seperates you immediately.

Coaches don’t want to be the only voice in the gym.

Your voice forces you to be in the right position, it forces you to understand what is happening, what is going on… otherwise how can you speak?

It’s an instant indicator that you are ready to compete and you’re dedicated to your team and winning..

It’s a no brainer but too many players don’t utilize it

Yes you can get a bucket but how did it happen? Within the flow of what the team is trying to do or did you go rogue?

How are you defending after not touching the ball for a while?

Do you box out? Are you in the right spot?

Now that the dust has settled on the European Qualifiers, I’m just feeling incredibly grateful.

Representing Great Britain is always a massive privilege, but it’s the people you're in the trenches with that make the journey. I got to work with a great group of individuals on this Senior Women’s 3x3 squad.

Thank you for the opportunity and the chance to move the dial one day at a time. 🙏🏾🇬🇧
