It is a cold, grey autumn morning in Boston. On the agenda today is checking out the "Three Pharaohs" exhibit at the MFA, which I have been meaning to for a while. Following that, a nice afternoon stroll through the Back Bay Fens, stopping at the Kelleher Rose Gardens (slide 4) to enjoy the last of this year's blossoms.

Today, I'm wearing a @spiermackay Brisbane Moss corduroy suit made using their MTM offering, @aldenshoeco cordovan loafers, @jacquesmariemage Stanley Kubrick 2001: A space odyssey sunglasses, a bridle leather belt from Naragansett Leathers, and a beautiful shirt using @permanentstylelondon fabric made by Carl from @cegonyc (look at those collars!).

I'm a regular guy who doesnt have an affiliate code to throw at you or any opinion, really, about what you should buy. I like clothes because of an interest in aesthetic, technical and historical details that underlie what we wear. In fact, everyone, including me, would do better to consume less stuff. However, I live for tiny pleasures such as the leather buttons on this suit (slide 5) sourced by @spiermackay. In fact, I was delighted by the MTM fitting experience at Spuer's Mississauga showroom and the salesperson, Sammy, had immaculate taste. It is a delight to encounter this in this day and age when charlatans try and shove badly made MTM clothes down our collective throats, especially on Instagram.

Today’s fit is inspired by @josegraujr who wore a similar fit when we met up for a drink in NYC. I am a big fan of white/cream, light blue and olive, but hadn’t tried an oxford cloth button down as part of the equation.
