How did a dm evolve into a 13 piece orchestra performance live at @gramercytheatre?

@jacksonawaters connected with @simritkaur on our beloved @instagram . Simrit almost wrote off his message as one more strange request. “I told my manager, I was like, I don’t know about this, but it sounds really cool.”

A few months later the pair scheduled a 13 piece orchestra performance & a live album before the 1st rehearsal.

Walking on faith & Patience.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, Jackson conducts the Live Room Orchestra behind Simrit at the Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan. It’s the first time her music has been arranged for an orchestra, it’ll be filmed for a live album, and when we spoke, they still hadn’t rehearsed in the same room.

The piece covers a centuries-old Greek love song, a stack of rejections, and a tattoo that reads Paciencia y Fe. #LiveMusic #NewYork

Full story at the link in bio. Tickets are on Ticketmaster. I’ll see you on the 18th.
