The Sanibel Island Sunrise Sale is back Saturday, September 5, with island businesses opening their doors at 7:09 AM for one of the biggest shopping days of the year.

Expect early-bird deals, doorbusters, free gifts, special offers and plenty of reasons to show up before you’ve had your first cup of coffee.

And yes, pajamas are encouraged. There’s even a pajama contest.

The deals continue until 5 PM, but some of the best bargains are for the early birds.

DITL: studio owner edition.

Wellness. Creative direction. Client calls. Reviewing drawings. Sourcing. Budgets. Site questions. Giving feedback. Changing my mind. Changing it back. Making 47 tiny decisions before 10am.

Owning a design studio is equal parts creative director, designer, salesperson, problem solver, therapist, accountant, visionary and professional plate spinner.

Some days I’m deep in the work. Some days my entire job is creating enough clarity for everyone else to do theirs.

And somewhere between the meetings, samples, voice notes and 19 open tabs, we’re building something really good.
