What a perfect ending to a perfect trip. I served my church mission in Mexico and my brother did his in Argentina, so we knew this game had to be on our list and it did not disappoint. Seeing the GOAT score live in front of us was amazing. Loudest stadium and coolest sporting event I’ve ever experienced by a ways. (Sorry Seattle). I might have teared up a bit as I sat there and took it all in listening to the roars and chants from both the Mexican and Argentine fans. Our trip in the Middle East was way more amazing than I could’ve hoped. It felt new, fresh, advanced, and modern. Think Wakanda of the Middle East. I met the nicest people from everywhere on the globe, especially the Wales fans. They were so nice, I’ll have to go for a visit. Qatar did the most amazing job on their city. Everything was done to the nines, from the bathrooms to subways, to airport, to all the wrapped buildings, to Lusail, a city so new, the buildings were empty. Almost felt like a Truman show, or a Hollywood set. It was so well done it was hard to believe it was real. There were so many volunteers, workers, buses, police, security. Everything went smoothly, which was a huge accomplishment when you had 4 World Cup matches a day all being accessed to stadiums on the same metro. I felt more than safe. Safer than any large US city in their current state. Bringing a hot blonde as a date did incur stares and many requests for pictures to be taken with the American, but there were no issues at all. No I didn’t kiss my wife or smack her butt in public, but I did hold her hand without issues at all. I don’t think they’ll ever be another World Cup like this where you could feasibly see multiple matches in 1 day 30 miles apart. But I do know that I will be attending the rest of the World Cups with my family until I die. The cultural experience value was off the charts. Rant over but it was just an incredible week.

Mex v Arg was up next, but first we had to take time to celebrate my partner in crime. Happy Birthday to my Bae!There’s no other way to celebrate than with the real Salt Bae himself! How cool is that! Thanks for coming with me on my dream vacation even if it means being in an airplane for 16 hours on your Birthday! Love ya. Celeste. I hope you feel as special as you really are.

So grateful on this day of thanks for the best travel buddy, wife, mom, business partner, and friend I could’ve ever hoped for. We used to dream about being able to travel the world but it always seemed too far away with the mountain of debt and years and years of school we had to endure. So grateful for you bae and glad we got to get some bucket list checks off together this Thanksgiving!
