I was born when my beloved country was only 24 years old. I lived through 7 wars, and hundreds of operations, terrorist attacks and events (so many I stopped counting). Out of these I served 14 years in the IDF, and took part in 3 wars, and 140 operations. Lived through the first and second intifadas, lost over 32 beloved brothers in arms in battle, and many more to suicide bombers, and since October 7th lost 18 more. My country is small, but tough. My friends and I are family, we hold each other sane by always being there for each other. My family is the same. And even in the streets of my little neighborhood we are all like one giant tribe - taking care of each other (even if the cat lady annoys us). So here it is.. 78 years. And we are only growing stronger. I love you Israel. My beloved country. My Mechora. I would eat your dirt, drink your streams, and protect you till my dying breath, because you are the land of milk and honey - and even though you are tough - it is only because of you weren’t - there would be no value to loving you so much.

Today we commemorate the seventy seventh memorial and Independence Day in Israel.
The only true democracy in the world, the only country that was successfully decolonized from its occupiers after 2000 years of colonization, diaspora and slavery. The Jewish people, who rose from the Hebrews, due to 2000 years of conquest by European and Arab colonizers have been freed in 1948. And today, we commemorate our fallen soldiers and native indigenous people who were murdered in modern times. Tomorrow we will celebrate our most controversial Independence Day as due to the last attempt to destroy us by the Arab terrorists on October 7th 2023 we still have over 50 hostages in Gaza waiting to be freed.

But this post is not only for our supporters, but also to our enemies. And our enemies love to talk in numbers. So I will respond in kind.

Since 1860, 25,420 Israeli Jewish souls have been lost — not because we sought conquest, but because we dared to come back home. And we came back strong, unlike the apologetic diaspora Jews… We came back as we were in the days of king David. Wielding a fierce fiery sword. And no one likes a strong free Jew, so our enemies tried to destroy us.

In that same time, over 250,000 Arabs have died trying — and failing — to destroy us.

They could have chosen peace.
They could have chosen coexistence.
They chose hatred.
They chose death.

We built vineyards, they built graveyards.
We planted forests, they planted bombs.
We mourn every life — they glorify every death.

Every grave on both sides is a testament to one truth:
We are unbeaten. We are eternal. We are the children of God. And our enemies will fail as the kingdom of heaven has begun 77 years ago and today it is marked as a holy number of God’s seven.

Am Yisrael Hai.
Their hatred dies with them.
Our love lives on.
