Really took awhile for this to fully set in. I want to make it 100% clear to all of my fans, friends and haters that there would be no Celph Titled without Chino XL. I am so grateful I was able to tell him that in person and let him know how big of an influence he was on me as an MC, instead of only writing it out in a R.I.P. post after the fact. Maybe I would've focused more on production or maybe I would've become a different type of MC, but the Celph Titled you know of today was molded from the rap DNA of Chino XL. Yes, over time, I carved out my own unique style and sound, but it began with me idolizing this dude. Anyone close to me knows this. Most of you know I really only enjoy clever raps, punchlines, and shock-value braggadociousness, thus the reason I mainly stick to that approach with my lyrics. This guy was the undisputed king of that stuff. I had his "Here To Save You All" promo poster on my wall as a kid. I first heard him on the single "Unration-AL" with his group Art Of Origin in 1993 and was absolutely blown away. A few years later when he was slated to release a solo album, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. "Here To Save You All" is a personal classic of mine and was probably the album I played the most when I was in high school. To eventually become a peer, collaborator, and more over, a friend with Chino was surreal to me... and to have him actually give me props on my work made it seem like life is a weird dream. We had started a side group project with myself, Apathy and Chino called Camp Crystal Lake. Thankfully, we had at least completed 1 song, which Ap and I will make sure sees the light of day very soon. I will miss you dearly, hermano... forever give you your props and make sure your legacy lives on everytime I put pen to paper. Rest well, Chi... Thank you for making me the artist I am today. 🙏

Army Of The Pharaohs' second studio album: 'Ritual Of Battle' is a masterpiece and my favorite album by them. Their clever wordplay and incredible punchlines are an unbelievable combination. Everyone on this record got such an unique delivery and flow, which is the reason for their great chemistry. This is a very underrated album by one of the best rap groups of all time
