A little late but still so greatful and blessed that I can’t not post! Chicago was epic! Had such a great weekend with my amazing wife @slpinky401 . Celebrating our anniversary the best way we know how, a Runcation! Came out with a 5 minute PB and felt great the whole race. I know I could not have done it without all the tremendous support and amazing community I have surrounding me. Thank you @central_ekiden and @asicsrunning for fitting me with the most comfortable kit especially my fave racing metaspeeds! A PB and was able to recover quick enough to pace a half the following Saturday! Incredibly thankful for @fleetfeetnashville training group. I likely would not have gotten all those miles in if I was running alone! What am amazing training block! And of course @summerofcarlos killing his marathon and @steven_gutz_a leading the wife around Chicago! See @coachbennett at mile 22 was also definitely a highlight! If you haven’t picked up his book, what are you waiting for? Can’t wait to run it back next year!!!#fleetfeetnashville #asicsrunning #teamsoundmindsoundbody #chicagomarathon

Finding my rhythm, clearing my mind, and getting back to the person I know I can be. One run at a time.

Unbox my 3rd pair of @asics Superblast with me! First - you know how I feel about a white shoe. And these are clean. If you’ve asked me about what shoe is my most favorite, you already know I’m going to say it’s the Superblast or Megablast. I believe you could have a complete shoe rotation with only those 2 pair of shoes. I reach for the Superblast when I need something to help me recover from these high mileage marathon training weeks - and I need all of the recovery assistance I can get when I’m deep into several 60 mile weeks. Perfect amount of cushion and responsiveness for when I want to go a little quicker than prescribed 🫣😂 Go grab a pair, it’ll ruin every other shoe for you

Today it hit me! I did a thing! I became a runner! Not a great one just a runner! I was honored to be selected to be a pacer for the Spring training session. All while training for my Sydney Marathon! I keep getting asked how did you get so fast? 💨 I don’t see myself as fast! I see the difference in my times YOY. All I can say is consistency!! Putting yourself and health both physically and mentally first!! Stop saying I CANT! How about let me try walking before I run? I have seen several of my training mates that have made a HUGE improvement since we started! I saw two ladies in particular today! I said you have come a long way! So you notice the change? Yes they said! It took more than a day, week or month to see that change. You have to put in the work. I run for ME! Those who can’t ! It’s my why! What’s your why? This jacket means more to me than you will ever know. Mentor! I take that word very seriously! Someone telling me I helped them! Wow 🤯! So believe in yourself! I do!
