over the last three weeks, I have had the incredible opportunity to attend three different nationals. two as a faculty member with Sheer Elite International and one as a teacher.

In the center of these three weeks, I also lost my aunt. The brightest of lights in this world. The most courageous, spirited, compassionate person I will ever know. A soul that truly will never give up. And while this feels impossible in most ways, what has kept me moving this past week has been the effort to try and live up to this extraordinary woman and spread her spirit & message.

@envisiondancecompany I am so incredibly proud and filled to the top with gratitude to get to call this my family. there’s nothing that can explain the joy I feel getting to see the hard work that the dancers have put in this year be rewarded with the honor of Studio Of The Year! let’s go, season 11!!

@sheerelite family, there are no words to describe the lifelong dream that this has been or the lifelong friendships that have been made. to the dancers over the entire tour, thank you to the ones who showed up and choose to bring the light into the room. again, there are not enough words. see you next year!!

and to those who read this whole thing, thank you and please continue to contribute to the fight against cancer in any way.

Addy just wrapped up an unforgettable year touring with @dancemakersinc Dance Convention as a member of Collective Season XII. She worked for years to achieve this dream, and shortly after it came true, I was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Ryan and I watched our teenager navigate one of the hardest seasons of our lives with incredible grace, strength, and resilience all while living out her dream. She grew in ways we can’t even begin to describe, impacted so many dancers, built lifelong friendships, represented Centre Dance beautifully, and was mentored by some of the very best faculty, staff, and directors in the dance industry.

Although I wasn’t able to travel to nearly as many cities as I had hoped this season, I was there for every second of Nationals, and my mama heart was absolutely bursting with pride.

Thank you will never be enough to DanceMakers, @centre_dance , our family, Addy’s teachers, and all of our friends who loved, encouraged, and supported us throughout this journey. The memories we’ve made and the friendships we’ve gained will stay with us forever.

A very special thank you to @urricamichelle and @channingcooke . The extra love, kindness, and support you showed Addy and our family during this time will never be forgotten. We are endlessly grateful. Forever fam. 🤍✨Huge congrats, @addyywilliams. We are so proud! 🫶
