For the final Soup Night of the semester, @centrekessler took over the kitchen preparing nearly 75 quarts of an andouille sausage corn chowder for Soup's On Us. Thanks to the Presbyterian Church of Danville for hosting student volunteers and to @centrecollegedining Chef A'riel for the recipe and leadership in the kitchen. Shoutout to CentreF1rsts VP Finance & Kessler Service Coordinator, @teriquemurphy !!!
Terique had the opportunity to attend the First-Gen Leaderhsip Conference in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Here are some words from Terique about his experience:
“We networked with other first gens giving and receiving beneficial advice and wisdom that can help first-gens navigate a higher level of education. I got to meet other first gens and Kessler scholars. I had beneficial discussions about problems that are commonly faced by first-gen students and how to overcome them. We got to hear from speakers about challenges they have faced as first-gens and how they managed to overcome those obstacles.”

THANK YOU FOR REPRESENTING CENTRE FIRST-GENS!!
