speech and debate. how do i sum up six whole years? i still remember my dad coming home from work saying he ran into the lady who would become my speech coach saying that she told him about speech and debate in a grocery store. little did i know that when i went to that meeting when i was 13 years old i would find my passion and the thing in life that gave me the most confidence. i would be nowhere this year without my family, friends inside and outside of speech, my coaches and my team.
i am so incredibly blessed to have had such a fulfilling season this year. speech and debate, i am going to miss you more than i have ever missed anything. speech has taught me confidence, how to take constructive criticism, how to handle situations with grace and who to trust when it comes to tournaments. (iykyk) all in all, i hold speech and everyone who has helped me along the way very near and dear to my heart.

as judy garland said best, start the overture pussycats, they’re waiting. 🫶🏻
