To quote Mr. Mórale and the Big Steppers, since 2019 I’ve been going through some things—wasn’t feeling right, life wasn’t sitting right with my spirit. Like many, rediscovered my sense of self through black history, went through some health scares, people close to me and around me dieing at a noticeable rate. I started individual and couples therapy. What a time to really dissect myself.

Now I breathe different. My energy is different and I vibrate high enough to attract strangers (inside joke). Time is the ultimate currency for me. I’m stingy with my time and energy, obsessing over the right amount of life balance with honesty and vulnerability. So any “time” I share with you, I’ll always end it by thanking you for it.

It’s not lost on me that for those of the same demographic, we really don’t make it past 60 by natural causes. So me turning 32 this year is really that 50 year mark for others. I normally get the bday blues, but this year I prioritized and celebrated me for once. A trip to Vegas with those that matter most and to put it Frank it was one of the best times of my life. You never know when that last IG post is coming or when it’s your last time being thankful for waking up the next day—so for my bday like my namesake Sintra, I did it my way. 🙏🏾🤞🏾

March 13, the date of completion for our little family. Happy 3rd birthday to my baby!!! Our fella is so loved that he had 31 people in San Diego for the weekend to celebrate him! He had a ball and we’re really soaking in all the love. We really love y’all 🥺.

Vegas owes me nothing. You and God took a troubled teenage girl from the pits of Cleveland going down the wrong path and grew her into a well rounded woman! As we prepare for an exciting yet intimidating move, our next stepping stone, I reflect on all of the things Vegas has given me. You've given me unconditional love, undying friendships, an education, a career, a family, you've given me heartache, lessons, growth, opportunities, and an infinite amount of fun times and memories that most people will never experience in their lifetime. You took me in, you took my family in, and you loved us even when we didn't love you back. And for all of these things, you'll always be home.
