The wait is finally over…

It all starts with leadership. 🏐💗

Meet our 2026–27 HVVC head coaches! Ready to lead, ready to build, and ready to bring our WOW values to life.

Work • Ownership • Will

Great coaches build more than volleyball players. They build confidence, earn trust, and create a culture where athletes feel supported and challenged to grow.

See you on the court! 🩷

Part 4: So what is the method?

So what is the method? In plain words: practice that looks like real volleyball.

Come to our gym and you’ll see players playing, learning from direct experience, and the ball going over the net a lot. It may look like all we do is play. It’s very intentional, and the goal is for those skills to carry over into real competition. That’s how we measure whether it works.

That’s the full series. Questions about tryouts or the program? Send us a message or head to npjvolleyball.com.

Play Better. Love the Game.

Part 3: So why does playing work?

Nobody sends a kid to a clinic to learn how to ride a bike. You hop on and figure out how to balance.

That’s the thinking behind how we coach volleyball at NPJ: players learn by playing, and every minute of it is designed on purpose.

Part 4 tomorrow: so what is the method?

Part 2: So where’s the coaching?

So where’s the coaching? There’s plenty of it. It just looks different.

Mike explains it: you won’t see coaches holding an arm or forcing a perfect body position. You’ll see drills where the cueing, the teaching and the feedback are built right into the drill itself.

Part 1: All NPJ does is play?

All NPJ does is play. That’s the rumor. Here’s the answer from Mike, our Director of Volleyball.

We train just as much and just as hard as any other club. The difference is the theory behind how we design our practices.

This is Part 1 of 4 in The NPJ Method. Part 2 is up tonight: so where’s the coaching?

Play Better. Love the Game.
