‘sitting circle’ ft. the extraordinary @mooserob is out today ❕🟤🪉🤝🏼🎻🔘 ‘sitting circle’ imagines people gathering after a long time apart—both strangers and friends—placing their stories in the middle like objects, and finding connection. It’s a piece about reunion, reflection, and the gentle tension between past versions of ourselves and who we’re becoming. I wanted the music to feel as though you were sitting inside a shared, familiar breath, while still making space for new stories, new energy, and new life to enter. The music sat with me for quite a while, and I knew in my heart it needed another voice—much like what the piece itself is about: creating a gathering space. I wondered if Rob might be up for becoming part of this piece, and to my absolute delight, he said YES (!!) His strings, writing, and voice transformed the music, widening its emotional horizon & revealing vibrant new colours—almost like turning a kaleidoscope and watching an entirely new pattern emerge. Rob brought an extraordinary warmth and spaciousness to ‘sitting circle’ —a feeling of openness that made it seem as though the music had finally found the voice it had been waiting for. It has been such a sincere honour to collaborate with him on this piece!! Thank you Rob!! So much love and appreciation to everyone who helped bring this music into the world, and to everyone listening today! @mooserob @cyrus_reynolds @zinomikoreymastering @richard_whittaker_official @_hannahbeatrice @cezza90 @sj.letts @anais.jx @faberalt One month until the full record is out Aug 28th @mercurykx @deccarecordsus 🪉🤍

(!!!!!!) elated to announce my new album ‘a [time] patterned’ out aug 28th // with my first single ‘sojourn’ out TODAY ❕❕ this record began from a curiosity around time — how moments slowly shift, repeat, dissolve & transform us. I’m really excited to share a new world I’ve been making, through harp, strings, electronics, tape loops & field recordings that explore memory, movement, instinct & emotional change // how music decorates time my first single ‘sojourn’ written for harp, strings & electronics, lives in the in-between // a passage from inward searching into openness 〰️ this piece was the first I wrote for the record, though to me it feels less like a beginning and more like an opening // a quiet acceptance of unpredictability, of movement, of time itself BIG love & gratitude to everyone who helped shape this record with me // endlessly thankful to everyone listening & supporting this music 🩶🪉 infinitely grateful for @cyrus_reynolds — there are truly no words for how meaningfully you shaped this entire record ❤️ grateful to @_hannahbeatrice for shepherding this entire record with so much loving care thank you to everyone at @mercurykx it’s a complete dream to be a part of such a vibrant & creative home @cezza90 @tight____ship @obelus_era @utesch for the beautiful visual language and design masterfully mastered by @zinomikoreymastering @snedkerstudio for the absolutely stunning custom marbled wood art piece for the soundboard of my harp @camac_harps & @highdesertcarpentry for helping it fit perfectly ! 📽️sojourn video directed by illustrious @patshen 〰️ grateful for his vision & special thanks as well to aricj.lopez

It’s a real pleasure for us to welcome @sophiehutchingsmusic to Secret Piano. An Australian pianist and composer, she unfolds a delicate, luminous writing style at the meeting point of piano and soundscapes—shaped by space, the ocean, and wide-open horizons. If you haven’t discovered her yet, join us on March 29 at the Café de la Danse ! #piano #sophiehutchings #secretpiano

Out today 〰️〰️ Waltz of the Flowers (From “The Nutcracker”, Op 71) is a cornerstone of my classical upbringing, reimagined now through the lens of my electroacoustic voice. Tchaikovsky’s iconic waltz, once a ritual etched into my hands, becomes here a memory refracted: delicate, dreamlike. Using effects and ambient processing, I wanted to stretch the original into something almost suspended. A waltz caught in slow bloom. A memory dancing at half-speed. There’s a softness and surrealism to this version—less about the grandeur of ballet, more about inner choreography. It lives in the space between tradition and transformation, a sonic reflection of how musical memory evolves when re-expressed from a different point in time. Sonically, this excerpt from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker is a pillar for me — it holds the nostalgia and magic of winter, and the poignant sense of nourishment the season brings. So happy to share this version with you! Link to listen in stories 🩶 Thank you so much to everyone who helped bring this version to life 🫂 @mercurykx @cyrus_reynolds @zinomikoreymastering @richard_whittaker_official

Amsterdam, you raised my spirits 🙏🙏 After a really tough week last week, I’m flying back feeling inspired. Three quick days at ADE and celebrating my son’s 8th birthday have left me feeling grateful. Grateful to be part of our electronic music community, always cutting edge and inspiring, and to have long enduring friendships beyond the dancefloor. Grateful to be collaborating with trailblazers like the singular @laraharp , with the vision snd passion of @cezza90 and @mercurykx . (This upcoming Pioneers of Electronic Music album is something special… more on that soon!). ✨ Also in awe of the scope and creativity of @halinarice_music and her beyond impressive AV live show. Learned so much from her panel! Also it was my first time bringing my son for his birthday, and it went super smoothly! Maybe my friends won’t volunteer to babysit every time (‘uncle Seth’ crushed it yesterday) but this one was perfect. Lastly, happiest heavenly birthday to Matt Tolfrey, who was planning to be at ADE this year celebrating. Matt was the glue connecting so many friends in our scene, especially between the UK and US. Even now he continues to bring us together. There’s been a lot of reminiscing, laughter, and many tears this past week… sending love to you, my friend ❤️

WOW!! I am so incredibly honoured to be nominated for this year’s ARIA @aria_official award for Best Classical Album, for BECOME THE SKY. This album had a sincere vision. Some long late nights spent pouring heart and soul into creating a space for listeners to pause, breathe, and view life in slow motion so I’m really touched to have it acknowledged in this way. Thank you to Bob Scott @bobekkk and Ben Fletcher @benfletcher for their amazing contribution. To my musical family at @mercurykx and @umusicau for your continual support. Andrew Buckley @short_films_ for all his beautiful footage @kawaipianosau for looking after me in the piano world! And my manager @paulvmason 🩵 . . #arias #bestclassicalalbum #becomethesky
