We are elated to share the full panel lineup for the inaugural HBCU Climate Ventures Symposium— Mecca Moves: Climate Leadership for an Inclusive World, an official DC Climate Week event, taking place tomorrow on Earth Day 🌎 at Howard University – The Oliver Event Space.

Last week, our founder, Ambriel Pouncy, arrived in Washington, DC for The World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund Spring Meetings. This week, she’s in the city for Climate Week, surrounded by brilliant and courageous leaders advocating for planetary health and the future of our world. Together, these two global moments reflect a shared truth, the future of economic growth, institutional resilience, and global prosperity is inseparable from climate action and sustainable innovation.

HBCU Climate Ventures may be a one-woman operation, but it is powered by a community of people who showed up so my vision could become reality.

It will always be the people, those working behind the scenes and those leading from the front lines who make the difference in confronting the greatest humanitarian threat of our time, one that is impacting Black communities at an unprecedented rate.

Walking into April with a heart full of gratitude ✨

This year started off with a season of growth, new experiences, and stepping into spaces I once dreamed about ✨👑🇨🇴🇪🇬

From returning to the pageant stage after nearly two years, to coaching and celebrating my clients’ wins and top placements, hosting, to serving in my role as a commissioner for DC Fashion, Arts & Events, and even making my movie debut this year 🎬 (you can catch Sundays After Church now on Amazon Prime and other streaming platforms).

This season reminded me that expansion happens when you move in alignment.
