program year 70 starts today!
looking back at these photos reminds me that youth in government is so much more than just assemblies and civic education, it’s also friendships, leadership, unforgettable experiences, and a community that encourages you to grow.
whether this is your first or last state assembly, i hope you’ll be part of everything py70 has to offer. i can’t wait to make more memories together!

Happy August 1st Florida YIG!!

When I first started the Youth in Government program as a freshmen, I would have never imagined how much of an impact yig would have on my life. I’ve made so many friends and have learned so much from this program. Moving into this program year, I hope to give back to this program what it has given me these past 4 years. Let’s make PY70 the best program year yet!!

It’s August 1st! That means it’s officially the start of PY 70. Your PO’s are so excited for this year and can’t wait to see everyone at all the events. This program is truly the best thing that I could have chosen to join. Everybody Get Hype for PY 70! Make the most out of this Program Year! Work Hard, Play Hard, Love Harder!

its that time of year!

I am honored to rise to serve you this program year as a presiding officer. It truly means the world to me to be a part of this program, but more importantly for this program to be a part of me and so tethered to my own identity and voice. I take this position knowing that I will prepare these chambers for another delegate to take over, which means I will forever uphold the values of YIG as well as the 70 year legacy that has been formed.

Legacy is supposed to be planting seeds in a garden you never get to see, but I want everyone to remember that it isnt all about seeing the garden. It is about making sure that someone else has one to walk through, one where you will always be a part of the roots.
