My buddy Connolly Gamble in the Make-A-Wish spotlight.
@hockey_warrior17 You're always a natural in front of that podium. You've got quite the future ahead of you, my friend. 👊😎 I got connected with Connolly several years ago when his wish was to become a member of the Winnipeg Jets hockey club. He is living proof that the @makeawishca program really does make a positive difference in a child's life and all of those interacting with them.

May is #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth. The children in these photos have each been diagnosed with a brain tumour. They have faced months and years of medical treatment, surgeries, tests and procedures. They were also each granted a wish to help them through this difficult time in their lives. When children are battling a critical illness, so much of normal childhood is taken away from them — it is exhausting, both emotionally and physically. Research shows, and physicians agree, wishes can help improve a child's quality of life and produce better health outcomes. We encourage parents and medical professionals of children battling brain tumours to visit makeawish.ca/referachild to refer them for a life-changing wish experience. #BTAM #braintumour #MakeAWish

15! Whaaaaaat?!
🎂
Since their last bday, life has brought some major changes but K,J&C haven’t seemed to miss a beat in their switch from big city boys to small town “townies”.
🎂
We are so proud of them and excited to see what this next year brings from them. Except maybe the driving; I’m not excited about the driving!

Those of you who are close to me, know I'm a big people person. In this job, alongside capturing great moments, I really cherish all of the special people and relationships I've developed over my career.
While looking for some of my favorite moments of the last decade, I'd like to introduce you to Connolly Gamble ( @hockey_warrior17 ). I met Connolly back in 2016 through the Make-A-Wish Foundation ( @makeawish_sa ) when his wish was to play for the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets in turn signed him to a two-day contract. He got to practice with his hockey hero, Adam Lowry, and skate out as a star following the Jets game later that weekend. He survived brain surgery and is one of the strongest people I know. We hit it off since day one and I'm glad we still get to visit each other a couple times a year, despite living far away in both Alberta and Sakatchewan. I'm so happy to see him return to a more normal life and get to watch him grow up a little more everytime we meet. This is definitely one of my favorite moments of the 2010s.

Hope to see you soon, bud! 👊🙂 Ps: And not to forget your brothers Josh and Keegan, and the rest of the family. 👊

“Connolly has been a HUGE help and I have signed him up as the official football trainer...” - a note today from the ND Hounds football coach!
🔴
The biggest adjustment for Connolly coming to ND has been that there is nowhere close by that he can play his second year of bantam hockey in a competitive non-contact league. Yet, it has not phased him one bit.
⚪️
On registration day, he signed up to help the football team, for choral, badminton and Hounds for Humanity. He is finding his place as a Hound.
🔴
We are proud of Connolly, but also of Josh and Keegan. They have all made the adjustment to a new town, new house, new friends and new school look so easy!
