When the simplest moments feel extraordinary...

My mother and I spent two nights at Coconut Lagoon by CGH Earth, where even arriving felt special. A boat across Vembanad Lake carried us into nature’s quiet rhythm.

Our Heritage Mansion Duplex, 201, offered uninterrupted lake views. Mornings were for birds, butterflies and houseboats drifting past. Restored Kerala homes and lush gardens made nature part of everything.

Breakfast at Ettukettu was a delight, from Kerala flavours to croissants, cheeses and continental favourites. Our first evening brought a sunset cruise, stories of Vembanad Lake and live tabla at dusk.

The next day, we visited the Ayurvedic Treatment Centre. My treatment included Shirodhara’s soothing flow of warm oil, while my mother enjoyed a full-body massage. Rooted in Kerala’s healing traditions, it left us soulfully rejuvenated.

After lunch, Herons Pond Bar offered cocktails and mocktails marrying local ingredients with international spirits and a Kerala twist. The evening began with a beautiful Bharatanatyam performance, followed by dinner at Aymanam, the specialty seafood restaurant, where one fish was prepared two ways for us.

But if one luxury stood above everything else, it was the people. Indrala joined the day we arrived, yet her warmth made it impossible to tell she was new. Shafi’s over three decades of service shone through in the confidence and local warmth he brought to our meals.

Thank you, Dr Girish, for our ethereal Ayurvedic experience, and Shynima Sathyan, for sharing both your evenings with us, we truly value this heart-felt experience. Your team made us feel like family.

14 days later, and that’s a wrap! 🤩🙌🌿

My second Panchakarma at @KalariRasayana_CGHEarth @CGHEarth has come to an end, and I’m leaving feeling lighter and refreshed.

A Panchakarma cleanse is no ordinary wellness retreat. It takes commitment, discipline, and a willingness to slow down completely. From twice-daily consultations with an Ayurvedic doctor and personalized treatments to a carefully prescribed diet, every detail is designed to support a deep internal cleanse.

What I love most about Kalari Rasayana is its authenticity. There are no shortcuts, no distractions, and certainly no sneaking in a workout (yes, I tried asking! 😅). Just traditional Ayurveda, gentle yoga, exceptional care, and a team that makes you feel completely looked after.

@coorgwildwalk_cghearthsaha . This forest villa is located right next to Nanachi Gate of Nagarhole Tiger Reserve, where our morning forest safaris began.

Shayari’s first wildlife safari and her introduction to the wonders of the forest and wild nature. Two mornings filled with excitement, curiosity and new discoveries — spotting different animals, getting to know birds, learning to identify pugmarks and exploring nature through short treks in the coffee plantation.

We have eaten these so many times during this trip and they are a new favourite of ours. The ‘Kara Kuzhi Paniyaram‘ from @palaisdemahe_cghearth were particularly good and the accompanying chutneys were excellent 🇮🇳

So good we ordered it again the following day. Pan seared cauliflower with a peanut and tahini sauce that had a nice chilli kick 🌶️ The food during our stay with @palaisdemahe_cghearth in Pondicherry was outstanding 🤩
