30,000 on @linkedin !!! 🥹❤️

An objectively hilarious number of professional connections for someone who would choose a one-on-one conversation over working a room every. single. time. 😂

But maybe that’s exactly how I got here.

One conversation, one introduction, one “wait, you two NEED to know each other” at a time.

Feeling very, very grateful for this little milestone. 30K. 🤍

In honor of the 80th #birthday of former #President #BillClinton, who was born on August 19, 1946, I wanted to share photos I took of several of his books (three novels co-written with @jamespattersonbooks) that I recently found at @cambridgepubliclibrary.

Happy 80th Birthday, #PresidentClinton!

Overdose Response Training Workshop with Yumna Battisha (Clinton Global Initiative (CGI))

- Watch the full video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/QaOO0KAeBTg

A life-saving training on opioid overdose awareness and response, grounded in the Qur’anic reminder: “And whoever saves one [life], it is as if he had saved mankind entirely” (5:32). Overdoses often occur in public or shared spaces and are frequently witnessed by others, making timely intervention critical.

This session will equip participants with the knowledge to prevent, recognize, and respond to an opioid overdose, while also addressing the stigma surrounding addiction. Participants will gain the confidence to safely administer naloxone in an emergency and take meaningful action in critical moments.

I am deeply honoured to be recognised as a QECT 100 Young Leaders Awardee 2026 by The Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust @queens_commonwealth_trust , marking what would have been the 100th birthday of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

This recognition celebrates young leaders across the Commonwealth who are driving meaningful change in their communities. Out of thousands of nominations from 56 Commonwealth countries, I am proud to represent Nigeria and continue advancing my work in health, ensuring better access to healthcare for all.

Thanks to all our supporters @healthdrivenigeria .

Grateful for this opportunity to be part of a global network committed to creating a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Okay I really don’t post work things here, but this one felt worth sharing 🫶

Somehow I just hit 29,000 people on LinkedIn, which is wild considering I’m naturally pretty introverted and much more of a one-on-one person.

I’ve loved getting to know people’s stories, what they’re passionate about, and helping make connections when I can. It’s been one of those quiet, unexpected wins that I’m really proud of.

Huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey.... here’s to inching toward 30k in 2026 ✨#linkedin @linkedin #networking #growth #proudmoment

Since today is the first anniversary of when "Citizen: My Life After The White House" by #BillClinton was published by @aaknopf on November 19, 2024, I wanted to share photos that I took of a copy I found at @hyannispublib; also featuring pictures from inside the #book.

A picture 10 years in the making 🤍. It was an honor to be able to meet Secretary Clinton during the CGI annual meeting and chat with her about young advocates and the importance of spaces like CGI to connect young people with policy makers, civil society and other stakeholders that will be integral in achieving and advancing the SDGs.

It was particularly important to talk to her about the CHAI initiative and the work they do in advancing access to vaccine for underserved communities, specially Malaria vaccines in Sub-Saharan Africa and HIV vaccines for free in order to advance access to vaccines for all communities.

OUR TARGET⁉️🎯🌍

One of the biggest gaps we see is in environmental education 📚🌱
And what better place to start than from our children, the leaders of tomorrow 👧🏾👦🏽✨

That’s why The Mafita Initiative is setting out to build awareness from the ground up through the Blue Wave Project 🌊.

We’re only 2 days away from launch!🚀🚀

Join the wave!!!

Plastic isn’t just trash.
In Ibadan, it’s a ticking time bomb.

Every year, our city adds 75,000 metric tons of it to Oyo State.
It fuels floods.
It pushes aquatic life to the edge of extinction. 🌊

But here’s the thing about crises

They don’t wait. And neither can we.

The Maftia Initiative is launching The Blue Wave Project, a bold step to train 60 students in two community schools to reuse, recycle, reduce, and retrieve plastic waste.
These young changemakers will transform waste into tools, knowledge into action, and fear into hope.

Follow us to ride the wave before it crashes.

During the seminar, we also had some a brainstorming session which saw the house being divided into 2 teams with two different tasks.

Team 1 - " If you had a megaphone, in 30 seconds, create a short video speaking about the Blue Wave Project.(this is one of our projects coming up soon!)

Team 2 - create a video talking on why the Society should be more inclusive towards any marginalized group of your choice.

The results will be posted soon. Stay tuned!

These activities aim to bring together the entire team outside their different committees while fostering a stronger bond among the team.

We are looking forward to our next In-house seminar and you should too!
