Sunday plans set. 🥩

Checked out “Sunday Roast September” at The Pig & Palm, and it’s pure comfort on a plate. The roast Wagyu beef was obviously top-tier, but the sides completely held their own: crispy roast potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, proper cauliflower cheese, and endless Yorkshire puddings.

If you’re looking for an absolute winner of a Sunday lunch this month, do yourself a favor and get a table booked before September wraps up.

And, oh, come hungry.

It’s an honor to be part of the Michelin family @michelinguide . It feels surreal that Michelin is now in the Philippines 🇵🇭, celebrating Filipino food and culture.

Thank you to @l.o.v.e.philippines and Secretary @christinafrasco for bringing the Red Guide to our shores to celebrate this milestone.

A massive congratulations to all the chefs, restaurants, and teams who have entered this year’s guide and continue to shine.

And a special congratulations to our very own @thepigandpalm @_jamiedoe , Mabuhay!!, Philippines! 🇵🇭🫶🏼

Some friendships weather every ebb and flow seasons of silence, distance, and growth. But no matter how life changes or how much you evolve, there are souls who stay in your orbit, steady as ever.

Celebrating Carla McKowen’s birthday at The Pig and Palm, where they truly continue to set the standard for exceptional dining. I’ve been a loyal patron since day one, and while they’ve always been consistent, their commitment to elevating both food and service never ceases to impress. Yesterday’s lunch was extraordinary—each dish rivaled the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Cheers to The Pig and Palm for always delivering beyond expectations! 🎂🥂🎉💯❤️

This historic event, co-organized by the Philippine Department of Tourism and UN Tourism, showcased the power of gastronomy tourism. Over 500 global delegates gathered to share knowledge and best practices, benefiting local communities and the environment. Here's to more milestones! 🌏🍴✨

Very reflective year so far indeed, looking at this jungle DnB flier from 2002, it’s like another lifetime ago. Definitely for me, a different life. World.

I can’t believe this was my event, ROADBLOCK, the drum & bass night at the famous clubbers super club at The Emporium in Coalville. The home of PASSION house music night.

I was 21. Became business partners with @djssform the man, Leroy Small, one of the Godfathers of Jungle music of Formation Records. Now my friend. I thank him for all his support. You think you’re a big man at 21. You know, clever. Your not, and you only find out heavily humbled under enormous strain.

It was kinda cool, amazing, meeting all my DJing heros, Adam F, Grooverider etc mc’s like Skibadee, he’s died now RIP, my own uni, DJ friends Chris & Oli doing it initially with them at Uni, the less known MC’s of roadblock , blessed to have done that thing then, what a thing to look back on, particularly Natalie aka @misstroubleofficial such a star even then, hoping we’d be big, do big, she did too, she’s a proper mc and singer on the scene now. I’m so pleased I helped just a tiny bit, getting her there. I knew she would. Just my mate, her DJ back then.

Once it all stopped being a uni thing, friend thing. It did change, friends & sisters loving it, BIG club, big names. Was kinda cool. Was quite lonely too. The real world doesn’t happen how it’s imagined, who does this, that at 21. As i say I’m very reflective right now, strong but very aware, seems alot has changed in the world since 2002. We promoted that event without Facebook and the rest.

A lot of people say ‘don’t have regrets’.. seems a bit like they are people that never push the limits or get out of their comfort zone much. I don’t regret ROADBLOCK..but i do regret the loss of being with people i let go, to do it, see, the sacrifice to do business is immeasurable until your in it, like on a ride on a rollar coster. It looks exciting & cool, until your half way round stuck high on-ride terrified. It wouldn’t be my last business, I knew roadblock wouldn’t make me money. I knew it would take me to my future.

Anyway. I do miss old days. Old friends i should have given myself to. x
