It’s Labour Day — so of course we celebrated with the hardest labour of all… BURPEES. 😅 While most were sleeping in, these athletes showed up, put in the work, and left stronger. Long weekend or not, progress doesn’t take a holiday.

I met @cgriffiths11 and Steve the first time I lived in England (2007-08). We became fast friends and were fairly inseparable.
.
10 years later, they are in Canada and we are doing a trip in #trixiethetrailer. Chelsea messaged us early on to make sure we were coming thru Ontario to see them. And of course we were.
.
As I said during my impromptu toast last night...thank you for being the kind of friends that care enough to ask us to come visit.
.
Thank you for hosting us and showing us the incredible wineries of Ontario.

I love how much you have embraced Anna and how much you embrace and support this crazy life we’ve created.

We’ve known Chelsea for 10 years...and cannot imagine our #rtwtrip last year without her. She works in the hotel industry, and was always messaging us with great tips or suggestions on places to stay!
.
She embodies everything a member of WPE is...curious, enthusiastic, helpful and always laughing (even when it may feel like tears are more appropriate).
.
When we launched this community only one short week ago...Chelsea was the first member to jump in and help out another member traveling to BANFF and Lake Louise soon. Of course she was!
.
When we think about who we want this community to be...we think of Chelsea as the example.
.
May we all help fellow travelers as much as she does! Thank you Chelsea...we are so grateful to have you as a friend and member of this community.

Day 1 in Singapore is a wrap. We weren’t going to come here but decided to after @terridarlin sent us a great @travelzoo article on the food scene.
.
So today we ate our way through the city—
.
1) chicken and rice at the hawker.
2) the most insane amount of food at Wolfgang Puck’s @spagosingapore on 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands.
3) drinks with old co-worker and new friend @jimmy_crowell at the most beautiful bar I’ve ever seen— @atlassingapore. Thanks @jonathan_sneed for the recommendation.
.
Now off for the most comfortable night’s sleep at @fairmontsingapore thanks to @cgriffiths11.
.
A full day and a lot of shout outs and people to thank for an amazing experience. Tomorrow is another day and much more to explore.
