I’m sure for most people when it rains, staying in and keeping dry is a no brainer. But much like when you travel abroad, you’d still try to make the best out of everything even when the weather is not ideal. You can’t change the weather but you can choose how you respond to it. Constraints like this can become opportunities to explore creatively, to notice details, or to see familiar things differently. After all, both the good and bad are worth documenting.

Thank you @solivagant.hk for hosting this group photowalk from North Point to Quarry Bay amidst the rain. All soaked but the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits. Swipe till the end for a cute pedestrian crossing to end the day with.

Depth in Blue: Moments That Connect

Blue — the colour of twilight, of distant seas, of quiet connections. As the light shifts, it reveals new perspectives, and those who see the world through Leica are drawn together by the same curiosity, the same moments, and the same way of seeing.

Along rivers at dusk, across city skylines, in reflections between buildings, blue tells its story. We invited photographers to explore this colour with us. Photos from left to right:

2 Dan Martland (@dantvusa)
3. Chad (@chachad)

Move through the city and let its colours reveal the stories around you. #LeicaColourHunt

✨ Art transcends boundaries when each artist from different backgrounds, such as from investors, to pilots, designers and photographers, shares their own interpretation of the theme “East Meets West”.

The East Meets West Photography Exhibition has finally wrapped up.
Once again, thank you to all the photographers who participated in the exhibition.
Although the preparation was a bit messy but the fun and dinner gatherings remain unforgettable.
Although I have participated in many photography exhibitions in the past, this was my first time organizing an exhibition for 16 photographers. So there is still plenty of room for improvement and we'll do it even better next time.
Finally, thank you once again to all the friends and visitors who come to the exhibition. I hope you felt our passion through our photos.
I look forward to meet you all again in the future.

Chad Villarico

A designer and film photographer originally from the Philippines and currently based in Hong Kong. His passion for photography ignited in 2006 with a Nikon camera, but it was in 2020 that he rediscovered the art using a rangefinder.
Carrying his camera with him daily, Chad's work reflects his life in Hong Kong—its vibrant people and the elements that resonate with him in this second home. He is captivated by the raw grit of the streets, where the genuine sounds and emotions of life unfold. His photography captures the stories of those navigating complex systems, as well as those who are often overlooked and taken for granted.
As just another face in the crowd, a typical pedestrian among many, Chad aims to illuminate the realities of the world we all inhabit, showcasing the beauty in everyday struggles and triumphs.
