ALBUM RELEASE DAY! Link in bio. 21 years in the making. And today, it’s finally here. ❤️

“One More Thing To Say” began more than two decades ago, when five young musicians were living together in Austin, making music, and dreaming about what might come next. Life took us in different directions, and these songs sat unfinished for twenty years. But they never stopped being a part of us.

Finishing this album has been an incredible journey through time, reconnecting with old friends, rediscovering the music of our youth, and bringing together musicians from different chapters of The Wheel Workers.

We’re immensely proud of this record and grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life.

The original Wheel Workers:
Steven Higginbotham – Vocals, guitar, keys, violin & production
Nathan Maness – Drums
Giuseppe Ponti – Bass
Chris Maness – Guitar & harmonies
Chad Fontenot – Guitar

Additional musicians and collaborators:
Erin Rodgers – Vocal harmonies, clarinet
Alli Villines – Vocal harmonies
Craig Wilkins – Synthesizers, harmonies
Dan Workman – Casio SK-1
Josh Applebee – Recording engineer
Steve Christensen – Mixing engineer
Chris Longwood – Mastering engineer
T Lavois Thiebaud – Album artwork

To everyone who played, contributed, encouraged us, or listened along the way: thank you. #musicscene #music #livemusic #musician #localmusic #newmusic #musicians #indiemusic #guitar #musicislife #singersongwriter #band #independentmusic #songwriter #concert #rock #artist #musicindustry #singer #indie #musiclover #instamusic #indiemusicians #bands #art #supportlocalmusic #musicproducer #musiccommunity #houstonmusic #houston #houstonartist #houstonmusicscene #houstontx #htown #htx #houstontexas #music #texas #texasmusic #hiphop #houstonnightlife #houstonlife #htownrap #rap #rapper #houstonparty #houstonevents #atlantamusic #newmusic #htownrapper #upcomingartist #livemusic

All those years coming down to this.

After more than two decades in the making, our new album, “One More Thing To Say,” is finally coming out next Friday, October 16th! Join us at a release party in Houston at Axelrad on 10/17 or Austin at Celis Brewery on 10/24.

These songs began back when we were twenty-somethings living together in Austin, making music whenever we could, with no idea that some of these recordings wouldn’t see the light of day for another 20 years.

Now, after digging through the vault, reconnecting with old bandmates, and finally finishing what we started, we couldn’t be more excited to share this record with you.

Writing these songs in our twenties and releasing them in our forties makes us feel a little old, but mostly just grateful that they finally get to be heard.

Pre-save the album or pre-order your copy on vinyl or CD at the link in our bio.

Twenty years later. One more thing to say.

AUSTIN SINGLE RELEASE SHOW! Valhalla in Austin 8/29 with our great friends Swift Drag! We play 2nd out of 4 bands around 9pm.

Every song is special, but this one is particularly important - it’s a song that was recorded as a demo 20 years ago but only finally finished recently. But we always felt this song was one of the best and most representative of what we loved about the first era of the band. Written and performed by Giuseppe Ponti, Nathan Maness, Chad Fontenot, and Steven Higginbotham, recorded by Steven Higginbotham and Josh Applebee, mixed by Steve Christensen and mastered by Chris Longwood. Synthesizer by Craig Wilkins and harmonies by Alli Villines.

Thanks to T Lavois Thiebaud for creating an amazing music video to accompany this song. Its thought-provoking beauty and creativity elevates the song in every way.
